At that price print (~$80 ) what is stopping you from having say four or five and rsync'ing them?
I'm not sure how the Nextcloud software would handle that.

NextCloud may not be able to... but if it's sitting on top of a Linux Distro, I would think that a cron could perform the action.

Tuesday - Copy Unit 1 to 2 back up to one
etc....For case of backups, yeah, that's feasible. But I know you can't migrate files from one Nextcloud server to another without migrating the DB as well.

etc....Would just have to change the IP if the primary one failed. I wonder if maybe you could cluster them together instead, NC might freak out though.

Just copy the DB as well during the backups then, right?

It requires no maintenance and enables users to install more functionality through apps like Spreed, video-conferencing; OpenHab, open-source home automation, and Collabora Online, a cloud-based version of the LibreOffice office suite.
Seriously, requires no maintenance? Does it auto update the OS and NextCloud and any apps you install? If not, then it has maintenance!
Seriously, other than cost, why use this over any number of other hosted cloud service for a home user?

Well, NextCloud 10 and on, have a new updated built into the GUI. No longer needing to be manually updated or updated via repo. This may be what it means. Still not no maintenance IMO.

What happens where there's another patch for OpenSSL? All those NextCloud boxes on the internet are suddenly vulnerable.

What happens where there's another patch for OpenSSL? All those NextCloud boxes on the internet are suddenly vulnerable.
Which is why I was saying it likely only means their auto updater.
