What Are You Doing Right Now

He is very much an Apple guy... I won't go as far as to say fanboy yet...
I'm very much an iOS guy. Love iOS, hate OSX.
-
@scottalanmiller I love my Nexus 5. I tried apple for a while. I feel weird not being able to copy files view stuff on the network.
Edit: You may be able to do that with apple (I'm not sure), but the file browsers on android make it very nice.
-
@johnhooks I'll 2nd that as a happy Nexus5 owner. Sure wish it had a bigger removable battery & microSD - but hey, for a cheap phone.....
-
I love my Windows Lumia 640XL, I get two days of battery life and removable memory.
-
NTG made the decision long ago to be IOS. At that point in time Android was unstable more than stable and Windows Phone was horrible. Both have improved a huge amount, well Android has Windows phone not so much. We will stick with IOS a bit longer. It integrates so nicely with Office365 that there is no reason at all to change.
-
And of course GroveSocial is completely IOS/OSX so over there I am very attached to my stuff. Though honestly I run a Windows VM on my Mac for a bit of stuff.

If it ain't broke, keep trying to fix it until it is! 8-)
I've never had a problem with doing stuff on Android or iDevices... My problem is usually these devices need cell signals to work, lol. My Note 3 was horrible for a cell phone, but excellent for a PDA. My Note 4 does pretty good for both.
-
Where is Windows Phone lacking today? Other than app availability?
-
I honestly haven't tired in more than a year to use a Windows Phone. So at the time stability with Exchange email was a big deal the stupid app would crash every time I tried to read an email. Also the lack of being able to use Lync on them and have it not crash.
-
Drawing up the framework of an app I want to create with a friend. Shit load of work just trying to define what you want to do.
-
@MattSpeller Whatever happened to the giant extra batteries with third party back covers they used to make for cell phones? I would much rather have a thicker phone that lasts longer.
PS. What color is yours?

Yup,.. what I am doing now. I had a Linux Mint USB drive that I just wiped to rebuild. It was working perfectly... other than I didn't set a NTFS / FAT32 partition so I could also use it on Windows.

Otterbox has a external battery case for the iOS 4. It too my phone from running a solid 2-3 days to nearly 10. Of course that also tells you how much I used it...
Alas - last year I upgraded to the 5c during the $1.00 upgrade period.
-
@johnhooks No doubt! I'd rather just have my Nexus be twice as thick right from the factory with a monster battery.
Mine is (heavily abused) black haha
-
@MattSpeller Ha, I wanted the red one so badly, but they were out when I ordered so I got a white one. It was last year right after they announced the Nexus 6 and I was afraid they would run out because the play store had none of them for a while. I waited because the speculation was the 6 was supposed to be close to the same price, so when they said $700 I promptly ordered a 5.
-
@g.jacobse I have this ridiculous case for mine that has an extra battery in it, but I stopped using it because you can't plug the usb into it to transfer data with the battery in.

Nice looking case... but yes,.. that is a draw back. The Otterbox case did allow for data, worked fine with iTunes. Sadly, I don't believe they carry it any longer.
-
Actually - just checked. Otterbox now has the Resurgence Power Case
-
@MattSpeller They have them for the S3. This brings back memories to my LG VX9800 days. I had a giant extended battery that made the bottom half of the phone super thick, since the battery was the actual back of the phone.
-
@johnhooks lol awesome! Also reminds me of my old motorola startak
