As soon as I finished a Ticket another one sprouted from the same call. The dreaded , " while I have you on the phone...."

Hopefully it wasn't followed by "this should only take a minute..."

On a support call with CenturyLink finding some crazy level of excuses for why they don't even have "next business day" support, let alone 24x7 support. Dedicated, high criticality fiber line for an ISP and there is ZERO support. It's "three day wait period" for anyone with access to the CPE to be able to log in.
And the CL support person on the phone is definitely angry at us that they have a broken circuit. The degree of incompetent and unprofessional is pretty high.
-
OMG CL is so freaking dishonest. The lies just go and go and go.
-
Well things have gotten better after we've been yelling at each other for a while.
-
This has become a late, silly call. Still going!

Funny enough, during the pricing discussion about clouds, we have an outage from one of our big internal cloud SaaS providers, lol.

Just canceled on looking at a house in Dallas because the only maybe options for Internet are fixed wireless, DSL, and satellite. And of course, none of those can confirm until you move in. But zero cable or fiber carriers in the area, none in the entire zip code of the city, let alone in the specific development

yeah, it's interesting isn't it.
internet access has become as important as electricity or sewage now.
i wonder if the time comes when properties/houses will be priced in some way, depending upon their internet connection?? it's not uncommon down here for new estates to open up and people have to wait years for the internet infrastructure to become available to the estate.
