Good morning. Catching up here, then in 2.5 hours heading to the Genesee Country Museum with the kids. It is history of chocolate day there!

I think we all agree when I say ...
I Hate Printers
DEFINITELY!
Reminiscing........, It was nice once upon a time, at least when we worked on UNIX. IP address and PCL codes was pretty much it plus a small interface script. Nice, neat and worked 99% of the time. Line up on forms could be a pain, but in general, SOOO much EASIER to fix and deal with.

@jmoore Hey, that's my local zoo!

@scottalanmiller sweet :grinning_face:
Going hiking in a bit with the fam. -
Moved the A/C 220V that was in a splice box that was once also the outlet for the washer and dryer.
Updated the circuit breaker box document and posted it. Finding live electric is not a fun thing.
Now to gut the electric in the half bath. The contractor comes Thursday to start the remodel to make it a full bath. But I am responsible for all the electrical as it is a skill I have from the 90ās.

Just back from a full day at the Genesee Country Museum with @mary

Homework. I'm taking a class (will do another in the fall) to renew my teaching certificate. Even though I've transitioned to IT, I'm holding on to my teacher certification. It's was a PITA to get, so I intend to keep it renewed.
The march I'm arranging is called "Qui Vive!" I have this, an assignment next week, then my final project due :).

That's a catchy tune. What kind of arrangement are you doing?
I don't blame you for keeping your teachers certs up to date! Never know when you'll get tired of kicking computers around.

This week's assignment was making an arrangement for full woodwind and brass sections for the about two-thirds of the piece.

Ha ha. I feel your pain. I helped the youth/music minister do arrangements for Sunday services a few times when I was in highschool. It was fun, but definitely not something i wanted to do every week, lol!

Tracking 3 songs for the new metal project demo.

Good Grief.. Just skipped about a months worth of content here... ugh. Been way to tired and way to far behind to keep up. And with work, just don't have time.
Smoking some cheese after a weekend of normal chores and house work. Also working offloading some images from the phone.. Don't want to believe that tomorrow is Monday again... sigh.. oh well. Time marches on.

I can empathize. The past two weeks at work have yielded me little time to take part in forums.

I have come home completely beat. It's a 45-60 min drive in, and a bit more coming home. This makes for a full 10 hour day really. And i'm not sitting like I had been, so this is good, but I'm just not accustom to it. Oh and the freight elevator was out two days..
I've managed to deploy about 30 24" monitors, manage some inventory, learn a bit about OrcaScan for barcode scanning, and get two computers deployed - with stress.
State applications are horrrid... They have SCCM and gods I miss ScreenConnect, and Chocolatey... I mean barf.
They have had to build and move to a new SCCM server, which broke every package they had... not that they were good to start with.
It's crazy the amount of personal touches you have to make on EACH stupid software in some cases.. Like,.. this one REQUIRES Firefox 52.2.... NOTHING ELSE works!!! like FFS WTH.
Ah well.. It's a pay check. I went into this as a stopgap measure.

We use SCCM (and GPO for stuff). I actually don't mind it, I've just never had the time to really dive into it and use it "right." My time with it has been more of make-what's-already-there-work. Mind you I had zero experience with SCCM prior to this gig.

For the most part I don't mind it. But I miss the SC Command line and Chat. It was nice to just do things to the remote computer without having to interact with the end user.
It is what it is. I'm still \learning how it works
