Has anyone heard of ShotPut Pro
Interesting. I am going to look into this. We are generating a lot more video content these days. I wonder if this could be of use.
A user asked us to purchase it with the "it'll fix this one issue like we had the other time".
What issue, when?

Those are the best. I had a similarly generic email come in today from a new manager about their only report- "Victoria says her computer crashes often when she’s working. Can you kindly take a look at the computer?"
Me: Hi Victoria, Please elaborate on the issue. When does it happen? What error do you get? Which program? Thanks.Turns out it is Excel locking up when opening massive xlsx files. She already has 64 bit Office and 32GB of RAM (maxing out her laptop). I can't solve that without buying another system that supports more RAM. I suggested trying to use a smaller data set when creating these files.

Dealing with another ransomware event. This is getting "fun".
With another customer?
A totally different company. Not a customer yet. They were about to be brought on by a partner, but hadn't yet, but had to accelerate things because their current company was useless. So they came to us with the issue even though we don't handle them yet.

Coffee is on the menu here relatively soon, I'm sure.I'm at my 3rd large cup. Daylight savings did not help.

Yeah. This is the shit I get to deal with. My boss has me buy laptops with 32GB of RAM exclusively for these insane files. Supposedly, we are going to be moving to a BI solution, but who knows when it will occur.

We have bought Dell Precision with 128 GB of RAM for some customers with that same issue! And still locks up at timeS..

Just figured out how to backup the local contacts from Yealink phones to FreePBX.

Still cleaning up someone else's ransomware mess. I'm getting to be an expert at this.

And we just found the culprit machine!

Good Morning everyone - our coffee machine went down - send Positive vibes until i can get out to grab more coffee.

Trying to get my Yealink phones to automatically update to the correct time. They're just not cooperating...
EDIT: Instead of using 0.pool.ntp.org, I switched the time server to my DHCP server IP. Not sure why the former wasn't working...
-
Dealing with yet another node version issue. Seems 8.15 broke something within the XO installation process. Thinking about kicking it to the XO team to have them fix it.
