I may need a 3rd monitor, 2 just isnt enough anymore. I know thats sad too
I had three,.. down to two,.. and likely heading back to three... I just miss that extra real estate

Finally rebuild the UniFi Controller.. At some point,.. I want to move it to a 100% up time device over the desktop that bounces. sigh,.. VM would be a good idea,.. just not practical for my home needs...
Miserable weather here.. so it's a stay indoors and work on stuff..

So an update on the Elastic stack quest.
Got the latest version 6.6 of both Elasticsearch and Kibana running on Fedora 29.
Set-up both WinLogBeat and MetricBeat on my Win10 PC to see what happens.
In kibana I can see my windows logs coming in, and also see the metrics like CPU memory usage.
So looking into getting ElasticFlow to work I got a problem, looks like you need to get Logstash working but it only runs with JAVA 1.8 OpenJDK
https://www.elastic.co/support/matrix#matrix_jvmSo job for Monday change java versions install Logstash and watch some videos on using Logstash with the Beats things and flow data.

Java? Running Java 11 openjdk.
But from the page linked to Logstash will only run on 1.8 (do they call that 8?) -

Experience wasn’t terrible, but I wasn’t cancelling service, just exchanging a bad box. Only reason why I have a box is because their Internet only plan is more expensive than Internet+some basic cable which I’ll never watch. Where I am, Comcast is the only real ISP choice.

Getting ready to take the wife out for tapas.

I think you might need to hang back off those Angry Orchards... Little typing issues
Just back from dinner and the grocery with a stop at the liquor store... three bottles of wine for her, at a Wood Chuck Cider,.. Grocery included a case of Angry Orchard...
Because it's been that kind of day..
