Was all about desktop os.
I just prefer virtual box on windows over HYPER-V. That's just me.Current plan is to install fedora in a VM, learn Linux more and find Linux alternative to what I commonly use.
Keep in mind, Linux in a VM (or Windows in a VM) won't run as well as on bare hardware because both, but Linux far more, leans on the GPU for performance for desktop functions.
Which is one of the reasons I like Mate, lol. It runs decently pretty much regardless of how you connect to it.
Yeah... until you want a really rich desktop under normal conditions that leaves the CPU alone
Mate does everything I want it to do... and quickly, too... However, the Elementary desktop environment (Pantheon?) is growing on me.

Just found a pretty huge glitch on LinkedIn. You go to someone's profile, click on "Message" and it starts a chat with... someone completely unrelated whose only similarity is the same first name!
Tested it three times! Reloaded the page and it stopped. But wow, that's some glitch.

Attempting some NextCloud updates.

Nearly 100 Lyft drivers sue, complaining of illegally being paid too little
New Dynamex labor law test may help the judge figure out who will prevail.
According to the lawsuit, Abdeljabbar et al. v. Lyft, which was filed in federal court in San Francisco on Wednesday, drivers are being paid “less than $8 per hour.” That’s far less than the California minimum wage of $11 per hour, and even further behind the minimum in some other Golden State cities, which mandate even higher pay.

The entire ecosystem of stuff like this is totally gray area in regards to labor laws.
It will be years before all the lawsuits play out and laws are updated to handle it.

Getting rid of few old SSL and TLS configurations on the vms on my network.
-
Trying to clean my office. It's too much storage, too little office.
-
I forced upgraded my desktop at the office to 1809, and still I can't get windows to find updates.
All of the troubleshooting tools, scripts aren't resolving whatever the issue is. So I guess I have to reinstall from scratch. . .

I just setup all the AV equipment for our company's 50th anniversary banquet we are having tonight.

They actually said that?
-
@scottalanmiller No but they're always very specific, and almost always ridiculous.

Got off work at 1 today but I had to come back to fix a server. At least it was a PSU being janky and needing to be reseated... I'd be pissed if I had driven an hour to push a goddamned power button.

Just emptied another box that we had shipped here from storage.

I just started a 6+TB VM move from one of my locations to another across the wan. Oh, and converting from vmware to hyper-v while I was at it. Let's hope it all goes well.
