No, you are totally misunderstanding the entire point of the discussion.
I'm forgetting to be specific enough I think, a degree in IT is where the value is questioned. While degrees in business management and other areas they do a good job with.
Right, but this isn't about IT. It's about computer programming (in my case) as a hobby; me wanting to learn more about programming concepts and algorithms, especially in Python.
Anyways, it looks like a great resource and covers a ton of things I thought perhaps some would find useful.

Trying to figure out who to cuss at IBM because our MaaS360 account is suddenly expired. Tech Support said to go to sales, Sales said to go to account manager, the account manager is MIA.

We have a smattering of Windows 8 and 8.1 devices left in the company, as well as some Windows 7. The decision to upgrade them is above my paygrade, so I need some older OSes for testing stuff.

Doing my annual dance with Comcast to get ourselves back on promotional pricing. Unfortunately live in an area where it's my only viable option. These sort of tasks are made especially for Mondays.

Dealing with "fanatical" support at Rackspace. Their support is pretty bad. You only need to advertise it as fanatical when it's very much not.

Well - hope it went well. Always fun to find an extra room in the ship that is filled with water only to have to bail it, mop it, and then paint it.. Can we get some light down here,.. I think we have another room here around the corner that - ACK! Giant Spider!

Moving furniture. I'm back into my "real" office again.

Awake an hour earlier than my alarm
Would go on my laptop and do some work/internet stuff but I only get 30mins free WiFi in the travellodge unless I pay £3. But I'm only here for a few hours

'Saved' but the iDRAC again... VM Host took all the VMs offline - Odd.. Won't reboot,.. so kicked it via the iDRAC
Waiting for it to come up now.
