So while driving to drop off the car last night at the airport, I totally got passed on the road by @art_of_shred and @Minion-Queen - how random.
Were they in the Minion Mobile?
Yes, Danielle's car.

Heading to the barn to go through our storage and try to get stuff loaded into the car.
I was going to ask how you were planning to get from NY to TX, if you would fly or drive -
Pretty sure the comment about tripping around the barn answered it. Driving - Not sure your plans - as you'll have the whole family (I expect) - but you are more than welcome to stop by on the way if you wish.
Essentially always drive, because we are busily moving our stuff down there. We always need a van load of stuff every time that we go.

Just found out that I'm getting a "new" desktop to take to my Texas office. That's exciting, I've been laptop only for a few years now.
Whatcha Getting Desktop wise?
Slightly older Shuttle mini desktop. Don't have the details. Has Windows 10 on it, but that'll be replaced, of course. openSuse Tumbleweed or Korora. Since it is a desktop, maybe multi-boot.
Just dual booted an old laptop - It has :face_palm_tone3: Vista on it, but thus far it is working nicely. I may make the NTG Desktop Dual tomorrow if I have time and run it a few days next week.
Issues with the Dual boot... Running GPARTED isn't the issue - I'm able to free up about 40GBs, I could free up another 20GB or so if I took the VMs off. But running the installer - it just doesn't like the Drive.
Still trying.
Why are you dual booting and not just running a VM?

About to teach my last saxophone lesson for the week (or first depending on how you view Sunday), then get caught up on non-IT tasks at home.

I already have LM in a VM - but why do I need a VM - The only real need to stay on Win10 is for AOE II, 98% of my other tasks are not OS dependent, so I can use anything... Anything that is except a MAC,.. Ewww... MACs..

Well, they only live a stone throw away. It was bound to happen.

Try AoE2 in a VM.

Nothing like a weekend of disruption to bring an end to a carefully planned diet.

I guess that's my point. Dual booting seems more trouble than just making a Windows VM.

The funny part is @art_of_shred didn't even know they were here :P. He's like that looks like their van.

WTF. . . thinks he should spend $23,000 to license a single VM on a 4 node cluster. . .
Data center licensing for each host.. . . otherwise.. don't be dumb and limit where that VM can run. . .

I think he want's to spend $23,000 to license a DC virtual machine on a 4-node cluster, each node having 2x 24-core CPUs (48 cores total per node). Stupid.
If I was being forced to run it on that cluster, I'd just buy a single Datacenter license (with SA) for only one node, and make sure all Windows VMs run on that single node, and if that if any failover occurs, they all go together... failing over all together to a different node. That way, the datacenter license can transfer with the VMs.
