Well my fiber is down, not surprising though considering there was at least 1 tree across the telephone lines.
(Yes the fiber is on the poles and not under groumd)
Oh America and your silly obsession with everything strung on poles.
Yea... for residential service though, can anyone justify burying it?

Apparently so. Nothing strung up in my part of the neighborhood.

Why the need for wires? Wireless point to multi-point is easier and cheaper to deploy, and as fast as anything other than fiber to the home.

Because I want fiber in my home!
And I didn't have an option for if the service was buried or not

Heck, Ubiquiti wireless gear will do 2.5 gbps now, faster than any fiber to the home I've heard of.
-
@DustinB3403 Also, I'm very annoyed with the whole subject. I've got a 40gbps fiber in my front yard and the best connection available in the area is 50mbps.

It's the dishwasher and the oven at once that gets you.

Argh, he's intentionally asking a pointless question and intentionally calling servers "nodes" to try to confuse a support guy then being insensitive that the customer support guy isn't clear what he is asking. Grrrr...
