Internet is out here. Man I miss the third world and a solid infrastructure.
Internet has been in and out for over a week. Totally unreliable in Houston.

Back online for the moment.

Used my new Norelco OneBlade this morning. I think it's my new razor.
I have seen those, I wand to try one. I hadn't been able to find any local, nor anyone that had one. Does it work well?

It's not too bad. It's not as close as an actual razor, but it's surprisingly close. I accidentally cut myself today. One of the most annoying things I've found about razors is how hard it is to clean them while you're shaving. This is super easy to clean.

Ugh, someone has Big Bang Theory on in the background. I can hear them getting basic physics wrong. I hate the overtly pretentious yet incorrect way that they do that show.
Most people think that I'd love this show cause "Hey, you're a techie, I bet you love The Big Bang Theory" ... fact is, I don't the this show .. never did .. it's cliched .. and plays on stereo-types .
In it's final two seasons, yes. The first 3 season at least were quite good. Yes, it played to stereo-types, but they also had jokes in the show that they didn't bother to explain and the laugh track was never played for. At one point I was about rolling on the floor and had like 8 people looking at me going "What?"

How the hell does someone who has been on SW for a long time and post that you are using RAID 5 with spinners, and only three of them, and then after a page of responses ask "why is RAID 5 bad?" How f-ing lazy can you be? Seriously, has any topic been beaten more to death? This is why it's annoying when some people say it shouldn't be brought up any more because it is so obvious and so well known and so over the top... yet established community members weekly are still surprised that it has been discussed and had no idea that what they consider standard is a "dead horse" discussion to the other half of the community! Argh.
I totally get why people are sick of the discussion. But get upset with the people not bothering to read anything written in the last decade rather than the people helping them out. (No one got upset today, just saying that people do.)

I can't take even the first three EPISODES. You mean it gets worse?

That old "TeamViewer Hack" didn't scare you away?

DIdn't scare the customers away. We sure don't run it here. But that's mostly because of price. We use ScreenConnect. But we need the client side tools installed for just about everything because of customers.

Someone on the VoIP group at SW trying to make up an industry term for trunks claiming that AT&T's century old term is my "opinion" and then provides screenshots from his MItel system to "show that I am wrong" and turns out he and his VOIP consultancy that resells Mitel doesn't even know how the Mitel works and Mitel themselves have documentation stating that this guy was wrong.
Argh. Just personal attacks at some point.

@itpete it is very slow this morning, but in general this is the busiest community that I know. THe conversations happen extremely quickly.

@scottalanmiller Gosh, well, I have a few 'pinned tabs' open every day (when I'm at work), with IT LAN hardware and Spiceworks and now MangoLassi.
I've only downloaded the Spiceworks Android App, before I left for Norfolk, to give that a try - haven't even logged in to it, yet! I'll have to try Mangolassi on my smartphone, while I walk around and see how that works!!
Mind you, I get anough 'bleeps' with other social feeds on my smartphone as it is - lets throw another one into the mix, too!!!

Came in this a.m. to discover that we had not been able to send external emails since Friday afternoon... when we switched our ISP connections. Broke the Exchange send connector (I'm currently waiting on the correct AT&T address to use). And since we have customers in the office for training all week, the bosses are busy.
