What Are You Doing Right Now

Getting posts deleted like crazy over on SW for pointing out that people are claiming that I took a thread off of the rails when it was actually Dustin and a vendor doing it. They didn't mod people insinuating that it was me for no reason, but did moderate me saying who had actually done it when pointing out that it wasn't me. And their excuse? Cleaning up "off topic" items even though the moderator in question was the first one to post something that took us actually off topic.
Argh. No accountability. I've emailed the powers that be.

We're all just humans. But moderation requires some - how to say in English... - Looking at things with a distance or to be as objective as possible. With great power comes great responsibility. You know what I want to say an I guess

Finally after complaining to Sean AND the mod in question at least ONE of the ones pointing at me was removed. But not the other one. It takes zero time to mod me, but everyone has to sit around discussing modding someone else why finger pointing at me remains.

This has to be my one day record for getting modded... and it wasn't even my discussion. I didn't start it, I wasn't the main person. I've never seen a thread get removed like this before!

MOST of the deletions are because the threads cannot be forked like we can do here. So a whole. valuable discussion was trimmed off. Which is bad as lots of good insight goes in there.

Dang... and we missed it!
Surprising... I actually took it down myself, but the backlash it caused was ridiculous. Long story short: Someone from a vendor called one of my devs trying to reach me, so I blasted them on SW. Then I got a long PM from their CEO whining about how much $$ they spend to be in the community, etc. The gist of the convo was them bitching at me for providing an incorrect phone #, even though all the disclaimers on every contest say "vendor will contact you by email. Even Sean got into it, with a long email sent to me. I told them that email contact is fine, but when you start disrupting my dev team with sales calls, that is unacceptable. So now I'm semi-banned from contests, but the backlash is that I'll never provide a single bit of technical help again. I just lurk around and report shitty posts and shitty users and enter contests that don't require a post on a thread.
