Power has been out here all day. Finally back on now... for the moment.
Did you write nearly the same post a few days ago?

Finally have internet. Arizona Dessert, Utah and Colorado Mountains and plains of Kansas does not make for good internet access. But it does make for some really amazing pics (well except Kansas).
How you all doing this morning?
Not feeling well, if not for huge projects with fairly tight deadlines, I wouldn't be here.

Wondering is there a single backup solution that will work with XenServer & ESXi

Sure, any guest level agent.

Anything that is agent based would probably work.

Any agent based solution should.
Doh - already said.

Any agent based solution should.
What about restoring to a new host if it's agent based? i.e. If the server dies?
I want to do a full image backup of a Linux server and restore to say a new server?

As was said, agent based is the only option that is totally cross platform. Unitrends WILL support both but is two products under the hood. Check with @KatieUnitrends for info on what they offer for handling both.

All traditional restores are agent based, so while it is not necessarily the best option, it is pretty powerful. In both cases, you need special support for restoring to disparate hardware (or platforms) so it's not the "one is great and the other is not" that you might be thinking.

StorageCraft does an agent based imaging system by using a special block driver.

OK will have a play with Unitrends and Veeam trials with my Lab XenServer see what happens.
-
Veeam is agent only. Unitrends has both agent AND agentless for XenServer.

Don't you mean Veeam is agentless only?

Attempting to secure my ownCloud server using Let's Encrypt but running into PHP errors(?). Interesting.

Hoping this coffee will keep me going for the last bit of the day.

I run LetsEncrypt on the proxy server in front of ownCloud. Not no ownCLoud itself.
