Rant warning
I like how Tesla is pushing the tech forward, but just don't understand the pure electric car. I could just imagine myself getting one and getting stuck in between work and home in the middle of winter. Batteries + running heater + normal terrible efficiency at cold temps = me wondering what the real range would be. Now give me something like a Tesla with a small on board generator and now we've got something very intriguing. Cargo ships and trains have adopted the electric drive with on board generation model for decades now because of the combination of range and efficiency it offers, why is nobody miniatureizing the same sort of system for road vehicles?
end rant
I've always wondered why that hasn't happened. A small diesel generator would run forever and provide more electricity than you need.
If your goal is less pollution with the least cost I believe small gasoline engines with multiple cats will do better. If your goal is efficiency for unit of petroleum then yes diesel will win (in a cloud of NOX emissions).

Yeah but I have an exchange student living with us now, and he likes to go and work-out, and I really needed to as well, just becoming more tired / fat-ish so I signed up for a gym membership.
It's been great, but damn am I hungry way more often.

You've just... reinvented the standard hybrid electric car, lol.

Will do, it is pitch dark here (even the house lights are all off) and I'm heading into bed (already brushed my teeth) but I will definitely get some for you tomorrow.

The Austrians beat you to it. Porsche made the first gasoline powered electric drive in 1901.

You are only 115 years behind the times.

- Migrate machines to other hosts in the cluster. (Shared Storage or not, doesn't matter)
- Remove host from cluster
- Add New host to cluster
- Migrate machines back

Good morning everyone. It's only 18 degrees Fahrenheit here today but it is not snowing and is sunny. Hopefully it will warm up soon.

That's the plan, but is it that simple?
