@wirestyle22 It's a friday this year so you can prank and have two full days for your coworkers to calm their vengeful hearts
They know better than to try to mess with me. Someone tried once and I made it so every time they hit a vowel a different billy mays catch phrase would play. I left it there for a year.
#dontplaywithme
EPIC -
Now is that in a VBS or GPO?

VBS. There is also a utility program you can download that does it although I think it's only for the CAPS LOCK key.

@AndyW once wrote some "malware" that would randomly play a turkey gobble. That's all. Totally at random. Only a few times a day. It was fast, so nearly impossible to track down. People would look all over the office for the source of the sound. Went on for months.

Doing a bunch of LetsEncrypt stuff this week. Haven't had a chance to be playing with it. Have it in some scripts now. So easy to use.

I setup a bunch of certs for my personal stuff right after public beta opened. But since that was all on CentOS with Nginx it was not (and is still not) fully supported with the default client for full automagic config.
Was still a snap to setup though.

I found a way to hijink Nginx into working with Lets encrypt automagically. I can post the config sections if you want.

Well it is simply not possible to be automatic with the way I have my config files setup i believe.
All of my sites are in
/etc/nginx/conf.d/sub.domaincom.conf
Each of these would have be be modified to use the correct cert.
[root@nginxproxy ~]# ls -l /etc/nginx/conf.d -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 398 Nov 16 16:47 community.daerma.com.conf -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 1093 Dec 7 00:54 daerma.com.conf -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 1117 Dec 7 00:48 jaredbusch.com.conf -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 391 Mar 8 21:46 naggaroth.daerma.com.conf -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 1003 Dec 7 16:50 obelisk.daerma.com.conf -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 832 Dec 7 00:55 oc.daerma.com.conf [root@nginxproxy ~]#

What if someone had a gun to your head and you had to choose between voting for Donald Trump or using uplay for every game you play for the rest of your life?
These are the things I contemplate on a Friday ten minutes before I leave.

Everytime someone deploys a game from uPlay, a kitten votes for trump.

Yeah, unfortunately, the initial setup isn't automated... but after you get it done once, you can script the renewal to run every 2 months, and you won't have to stop and restart the nginx service in order to renew your certs every time.

To be fair I think HP Lovecraft would have probably just chosen the bullet

It's common knowledge that HP Lovecraft was a werewolf

Hour of my life I can't get back....
I like this user, she's very nice and kind, wants to do well. When confronted by something new / different in her computer it's like her brain ceases to function; her arms flail, her voice goes up an octave. I have to mention this lady has a doctorate and a handful of degrees, clearly nothing wrong upstairs. Just... mental block to dealing with computers. It's like someone just pulls the ground cable off her mental battery when she encounters something different.
Ended up screen shotting the process step by painful step, including "highlight the line" kind of details.

Smart people can have the dumbest problems. Academically they might be ahead of everyone but they aren't wired for problem solving.

I notice this especially when working with Any Faculty member with a degree > Masters.

What degree other than doctorate is there greater than masters?
