What Are You Doing Right Now
-
You can really tell that everyone is still traveling today!
-
Just took a load to the storage unit. Nearly all packed up now.
-
Helped someone with the heavy lifting part of moving house yesterday. A bit on the sore side this morning.

Nothing is as fun as moving house. <sarcasm />

I'm lucky that I've only had to move myself in the last few years. Also technically now I move house every three months and, in fact, am doing it tomorrow!
-
Not exactly the same.
-
Getting to move in luggage instead of boxes is pretty nice. The lack of stuff once you get there isn't the best, however.
-
Just realized that the exchange rate is $1 to 27.5 Cordoba. That's going to be hard to convert in your head!!

Anyone experienced this? That's a new one for me. Actual smoke? Where did the smoke come from, inside or from the board on the bottom? Maybe a capacitor blew.

This is the first time I have seen an actual smoke. The smoke comes from near the power connector

Likely the circuit board burning. But do nothing but take a backup of that drive and replace it. Don't keep using that even a minute more than necessary.

About six hours till we are heading out.

It's not working anymore, I haven't tried to open it again. We're trying to recover this since yesterday. I'm afraid there's no backup of the users file

Presumably that means that whoever was using this disk didn't think that the data on it had any value. So no loss there, right?
Where did the drive come from, is it from a server? Desktop? Laptop?

It's from Desktop .
I was looking some backup files in their shared folder, but: disappointed: -
Serious rain in Houston right now. Can barely see across the street!

We have informed them to make a backup of their files on our shared folder. But their accounts are also roaming profile.

So the end user is the one that decided that these files were not important enough to back up? Seems like a minor issue then. Just replace the drive.
