Slow Friday thus far. Is everyone awake from last night's festivities?
Yeah, but not too busy yet
-
@coliver Qualify "awake"... I am at my computer.... but my brain is not fully functioning yet.... (the sad part is I have been at work for an hour, lol)
-
I'm waiting on the wife to finish doing her hair so that I can shower.
-
Friday client visits.

Just got setup the bomb this morning by one of our clients. All this will have to be done remotely. One at a time.
"How are you? Can you help us today, it's kind of urgent. We have 10 laptops for our ________________ that we received from other locations. Our _________ was wondering if you could take a look at these computers for a couple of things:
To change the passwords to log on to the computers to the same username and passwords as the other __________ computers
Some computers donโt allow access to wifi
All computers donโt allow printer access; They just need access to the USB connection with the one printer in _________."

Got a call within 5 minutes of being at my desk this morning, it's something I need to troubleshoot at another site.
Get to the site, start troubleshooting, find a solution and oh the power goes out on the whole block.
Thankfully the "surprise UPS test" succeeded and we were able to gracefully shut servers down without issue.
Power comes back up, people immediately start powering their computers on and trying to log in despite the fact that it's come back up and gone out again a few times already. Get confirmation that the power company techs have resolved the issue, power the server back up, tell people their computers will work now, solve the original reason I had to jet over, and GTFO.
Got back to the office just in time for lunch! That's one way to make a Friday go by quickly...

Ever since I changed my gravatar for this site, it has been interesting to see how many places actually use gravatar as a source for default profile pictures... I started using New Relic a few days ago and found my little logo in the top right corner automatically, and the same thing just happened to me in Slack...

Been on a plane. Just landed in Chicago and waiting to get off the plane.

Just walked into the house. Time to get busy with packing. Already watched the band competition at the football field at the local high school where my nieces were performing.

It's pretty much every major site. Gravatar owns the avatar market. It makes for really effective CDM offloading so very popular. Most frameworks build it in by default.

So he recognizes first thing that he is being stubborn for the sake of being stubborn and I think that he has even figured out already before posting that his stubborn use of a tool no one knows or is going to like is the issue and yet.... he is able to express that while sticking to using the wrong tool without any reason for doing so.
