Packing. 14.5 hours till we are on our way.
I'm planning to bring the GoPro and film the drive from western Nicaragua to Costa Rica.
So you have to go high five a border guard, and collect a stamp so you can stay in Nicaragua?
All because immigration processes?Yup. Super easy. But we are headed to the USA because we have to produce a lot of paperwork for Nicaragua that the US only gives out when you present in person, Ugh.

Good morning. Up for a bit before going back to bed. Odd travel sleep schedule.
In Costa Rica, but will be in the USA this evening.
-
Napped, breakfasted, and back at it. Heading to the airport in just over an hour.

Coworker called me and the converstaion went a little like this;
them: I'm a dumb ass
Me: is that youre new name? thats what we call you now? -
Been fighting technology a bit - sad to say I'm going to have to burn the Win10 install on an older laptop as it seems it just can't handle updates and such on it. Well, it is about time to retire the thing to being nothing more than a Chromebook.
It's taken a bit of time, but have a new system built up enough to connect and control the radio again - and about to send email over HF using WinLink.. I could just use Telnet - but it's more fun to send email over HF to a station 500 or so miles away to be delivered to a fellow ham about 10 miles from me now. yes yes,.. over kill - but it's something to do that is different and rather fun - of sorts.
Might have to go back and re-read how to use We-Fax. If I use a high speed fan and a glass of salt water - I can just imagine being on a boat in the middle of the Atlantic.....hurp... oh god... (runs off being sea sick).

@gjacobse winlink's still around? we took our relay down what 9-10 years ago maybe? I may have to try and get it re-set up.

I'm in Houston. Getting some work done before turning in for the night. Long, but good, day of travel.

Still in use, though the mode has evolved. You don’t need a $1,200 TNC any more. You can use a sound card or Signalink. The newest method I understand is ARDOP and VARA….

Yeah, some basic stuff like that would go a long way.

What mobile site layout issues? I have no issues with the site on mobile.
-
Taking the main backup right now to prep for some major updates around here. It's a slow morning so.... let's just do it if I have time.

I know for me, while on my phone the scrolling jumps... very very annoying.

Just tried to upgrade an Oracle Cloud Ubuntu LTS to current. Failed to boot
It's nice that there is a free-forever tier, but if current stuff doesn't run, then I don't know how useful it will be.
