I'd be tempted to drop a few https://www.amazon.com/HP-804612-004-2-5-inch-Internal-SSDSC2BX016T4P/dp/B07N36SWDC/ref=asc_df_B07N36SWDC/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=319955522114&hvpos=1o4&hvnetw=g&hvrand=18444010198641283209&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9015321&hvtargid=pla-683841748287&psc=1 in it.

@gjacobse oh, when you sent me a picture of this, I thought that you were taking it to a site. You OWN this unit now?

For those not familiar, Stratus is a crazy high end FT system used by places like Wall St. banks for "can't die" workloads. This is not HA, this is not fake, this is not a toy... this is true super high end FAULT TOLERANT hardware. It is two fully independent servers (yes, held physical together which is dumb) with full hardware level tolerance between them. It mirrors everything across the nodes so you can failover "anything" between them, without missing a beat.

@scottalanmiller We were looking at these back in the days pre vsan/storwind/"hyperconvergence" for one of our "mission critical 24*7" workloads. Butt-load expensive but the CEO at the time was just about to pull the trigger. THey did a live demo where they actually hot-swapped ram!

@gjacobse Did it come with drive caddies at least?

How much capacity does each system have?

Full stack of Mem (no idea yet)
                    Two CPUs

                    Three Drives each

Wouldn't be a shabby idea... but as Sweet Brown would say:

Create VM's with failover that is only for your digital picture frames, just to spite the rest of us. Severely misuse this, please.

That's like the 1990s! HC goes WAY back.
