Comcast... 881MB file.. estimated download time 13 hours.
I must have a special Comcast line in my apartment. I've always had good results with Comcast residential service where I'm at.
Things like SpeedTest always show it as working. But actual traffic is throttled to an insane degree.
-
Comcast has been throttling since NN was killed. That day.

@scottalanmiller Why don't you watch all the Harry Potter movies?
I don't think you can stream movies here on Comcast, not enough bandwidth (remember how much it struggled just to do screen sharing yesterday!); and all of my BluRays are up in Dallas.

try a non affiliated speed test
-
And before that, they always fell back on the "best effort" clause in their contract.
50/6 service best effort actual speeds may vary.

Yeah. I mean when I'm downloading files, etc. the perceived speed is good for me.

That's essentially what I did. It's under 1Mb/s.

LOL - I'm surprised you can post to ML at those speeds

It's amazing that anything works.

It is SO hard to work when I'm in Houston on this dog slow Xfinity network. Speedtests show it now being so bad, but that's clearly being prioritized. Actual speeds are like 1Mb/s or something insane. Even video conferencing barely works.
SpeedTest gives us an upload of under 6Mb/s. OMG Comcast is the worst.
Residential or Business line?

Anyone here ever work with MX Guard Dog spam filtering? Their pricing looks pretty good, and I really would like our company to step up from the hosted-in Alabama service we currently have (my bosses are way too nostalgic and keep vendors because "that's who we had when we were getting started"). Or does anyone have better suggestions for a hosted spam filter?

We made an account and were about to try it out, but we got Zimbra's SPAM filtering working really well and decided that an extra service didn't make sense for us.

Is Zimbra available as a hosted service? We don't want or need something we have to do anything more than log into.

I'm sure that it is. We used to host it ourselves commercially for others, we can't be unique. We don't anymore, so I'm not offering It just wasn't profitable. But it's a business model that you can make work at scale. I'd expect there to be lots of providers.
From Zimbra themselves, no I don't believe that they offer any hosting.

Wind is so crazy here it blew chairs all over the back yard. Some piled up against the fence!
