I already stated that licensing needs to be considered, and as for the tool to use, fogproject.org is the one. It's hands down the best imaging solution I've used and it just works, at scale.
Simple and quick and easy to maintain.

But you all hung the fuck up on licensing and have mentioned no tools other than @DustinB3403 mentioning FOG and myself mentioning CloneZilla. -

See my above screenshot. They require a Linux server, and recommend it being virtual.

You can use a laptop, desktop or a server.
That isn't how I took it, but you could use any device, but a server setup has to be present to serve the images.

Yes, I like it more than FOG (though, I haven't used FOG yet) because I'm under the impression FOG is clone-based imaging only.
I'd use FOG over MDT if all the devices were the same and get the same software. But I could be wrong about FOG.
MDT is highly flexible and my impression of FOG is that it's not.
