The normal... putting wifi into a router isn't a good way to go. Wifi and routing functions should be separate. You'd never mix them in a business, why not apply the same logic at home?
What would be your suggestions?
Start by looking at something like the Ubiquiti ERX and an appropriate UBNT AP unit for your needs. There are about two to three of each router and AP that might be appropriate for home.
But having them separate you aren't forced to colocate two things that should rarely even be close to each other, and it lets you customize your purchase for your needs, and gives you flexibility on replacements and upgrades. Plus you tend to get far better quality for both.

I am leaning towards getting the https://store.amplifi.com/products/amplifi-mesh-router and later on get the https://store.amplifi.com/products/amplifi-hd-meshpoint if there are range issues. I don't think that would be a problem, my apartment is a small 1 bedroom around 1200 Sft area. I like the simplicity of the setup (from all the reviews from youtube) and liked the idea of having the option of using https://store.amplifi.com/products/amplifi-teleport
I hope I could just start with the mesh router and later on add the other two without any additional dependencies.

Well, only one ERX. So that part is easy.
APs, you don't need high power or long range, so it's basically the cheapest model is the best. Even the cheapest Ubiquiti is SO much better than any wifi router wifi.

Single Ubiquiti AP should cover more like 400m / 4,000 sq ft.

You mean the mesh router would be sufficient? or still suggesting the router+AP combo?
I couldn't find the ERX & AP on the local online store, but the Amplifi mesh router is available. There are some distributors and resellers number in the region where I can check
Haven't heard anyone discussing about the Amplify Mesh. No one used this yet?

@ambarishrh I know one person that uses the Amplifi that why I considered it but I am going to switch to an Edgerouter 6P and AP combo.

I also use the AMPLIFI at one location and it works really well for a Wi-Fi router. If you’re not wanting anything except to serve basic Wi-Fi, it’s a good choice.
I want and need more than just that at home so I go with the separate router and access point. But those are more to manage by comparison.

Amplifi has been solid for the couple people I've recommended it to. If you're in a 1200 sq.ft. apartment that should be plenty without the mesh add-ons.

I got the AmpliFi HD and really like it!
I was getting slow connections for a very long time and did a few tests before and after setting up the device. With the old setup, my wifi connected device speed was variable at different locations, but with AmpliFi HD, its almost stable at all locations/rooms.
