Windows 10 Pro not showing up in network
-
Yes those are on. But it is password protected sharing that is enabled just below that under All Networks.
-
So now it connects,
But still does not show up under "Network" and I know from experience, that the POS support company will be confused if they don't see all the units.
-
I don't have any POS systems if you are referring to point of sale. Now, if you mean piece of sh!t, then yes, I have a few of those here.
Which version of 10 is this?

@WrCombs I think.

I know that they removed that home group feature in 1803 -
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4091368/windows-10-homegroup-removed
In past versions, I had to enable that in order to get the systems to talk to each other. Now, I don't know what the settings are supposed to be.

I do POS support, yes. Although I'm sure Jared wasnt referring to me.
@JaredBusch When that happens to us, its because the Computers arent in the same WorkGroup. . .
Something to look into?
-
As far as I can remember, you can't have blank passwords and connect to network shares any more.
Check the error message you pasted -- "Account restrictions... For example: Blank passwords..."

On occasion we look at the network.. as long as we can path to the Terminal (POS) and have access to the folders we usually are okay to set up.
Who's your vendor? -

Since I know you deal with workgroup POS systems, I thought you might have an idea.
I know you complain about XP and I am on current WIndows 10, but still a chance..

We have a few sites that are XP but all of our new installs are Windows 10.
I actually have a site im installing soon, So i used it as a test lab. Looking at this now, I only had two terminals, At first. then another.
I refreshed the network page and got the rest of them(all 5)...Im going to assume you have a switch that runs the closed network for the workgroup system?
you can path to it, which shows it is on the network, its just not showing up?
Right click and refresh the network page?Disable then enable the NIC that you're using to run that network?
