FreePBX - Determine if Extension has dedicated callin
-
Look at your inbound routes. See what the destination on the inbound routes are.
-
-
Under Connectivity > Inbound Routes there is nothing listed like in your screenshot.
-
That is all that the call route has for that extension

In the case of the In Bound I just worked on, it was in the DID number field. But it was Exchange / Number.
This looks like it's just the Extension,.. so maybe that it's ?
-
Some vendors only supply the last 4 for the incoming call DID number. That's how my old Cox T1 was. We had to change the routing rules to include the full 10 digit number.
So to me it looks like some number ending in xxx-xxx-2009 MIGHT be the DID number.
Otherwise 2009 is just the name of that route. -
@dashrender for some reason I doubt that. I think it was just poor system setup at the time this was put in place.
I'm not seeing anywhere in the system where a DID is tied to this extension. . .

From the DID / Extension I worked with this morning,.. it does.
DID 2009 goes to Ext 1009
-
@gjacobse the reason I was doubting that is that 4 digit isn't in our DID Block from all of the documenting I've done. . .
(which is a lot)
-
Honestly I do not remember the screens from memory anymore for 2.11
I would have to spin up a new VM or look at actual screenshots
Vague memory tells me that you should still have inbound routes in the menu on the left
-
No, 2.11 Has the menu across the top. So you should look at connectivity and then inbound routes

Yup, that extension itself doesn't know what points to it. So it is looking at the pointers. Think of the Inbound Routes like aliases and you are looking to see if an alias mentions that extension.
