    What's the best DVD ripper right now?

      Not the DVD spec per se, but certainly DRM/encryption/scrambling/limiting techniques are always changing. Software has to stay up to date with cracking all the latest protections if you want to back up titles. Especially newer Blu-ray stuff. Can DVD Shrink even open a Blu-ray? I doubt it.

              I've used DVDshrink and Handbrake in the past. Careful with DVDshrink since its not developed or maintained anymore a lot of people are binding it with malware.

                No issue, I just want quality up to date software and I'm willing to buy it.

                I went ahead and bought the WinX DVD stuff. Time will tell if it's useful!

                          Try dvd shrink. That is what I used back in the day.
