What's the best DVD ripper right now?

Not the DVD spec per se, but certainly DRM/encryption/scrambling/limiting techniques are always changing. Software has to stay up to date with cracking all the latest protections if you want to back up titles. Especially newer Blu-ray stuff. Can DVD Shrink even open a Blu-ray? I doubt it.Sure, blu-ray is a different animal. Store bought DVD movies are too. For your specific DVDs, it sounds like an older ripper would be fine.

I've used DVDshrink and Handbrake in the past. Careful with DVDshrink since its not developed or maintained anymore a lot of people are binding it with malware.

I went ahead and bought the WinX DVD stuff. Time will tell if it's useful!

Try dvd shrink. That is what I used back in the day.
