Not sure what HPE is doing with it all now.

This topic should fork, but I just configured my first Aruba branded HP Procurve today. I needed something with MAC filtering and as much as I looked, I couldn't find a Ubiquiti switch that did that. (I'm posting this in hopes someone can point out that they now have it.)

At any rate, the switch shipped with an HP firmware and Aruba painted on the outside. I poked around the web interface long enough to find the firmware update and then updated the firmware. The Aruba interface was way better visually. I don't know if any functionality was added, but there were a few things missing from the GUI. For example, you could set MAC address filtering on a port, but you couldn't view the MAC table in the GUI.

JB has already posted that enabling features tanks performance - but what do you want from a $100 firewall? JB recently purchased an 8 port ER. it would be interesting if he has time to test it like he did the last one.

Even a 50/50 line would be unaffected by the QoS policies being enabled on an ERL. You have to be higher than that to see it.

Thanks. I saw that and then saw posts like this one that are more recent and seem to conflict:

So then I then I went to the website and downloaded the datasheet and couldn't find the feature listed:
                  https://dl.ubnt.com/datasheets/unifi/UniFi_Switch_US-24_US-48_DS.pdf

I should have checked out the EdgeSwitch....

                    You mean static MAC assignment?

There is also filtering for multiple ports

I may have laughed a bit too hard at this.

That page was so bad, I literally read it in his voice.

                            That's a travesty.

I went over Citron report, and what instantly caught my eye was that part about distributor in Poland, supposedly run from the tent. Well, if they bothered to actually ask someone who speaks Polish, they would know the sign is pointing at location 50 meters away. Then if you look at the first picture, or simply go to Google Maps and look it up, you can see there's actual store inside the house. To Americans this might be weird, but this is how huge majority of small businesses operate in Poland, just to trim operational costs.

I'm pretty sure the rest of his claims can be dismissed a bullshit too, if you dig deep enough.

@jaredbusch So the guy writing abut all this is really exaggerating the effect. This does not seem to be that important. Anyone researching and buying Ubiquity products will be aware of their limitations anyway. everything has some sort of limitations. I mean if you cant event notice it on a 50/50 line then how big a deal is this really?
