      A recent poll shows that the top reason that IT pros are leaving tech jobs is caused by unfair treatment (or, of course, perception of unfair treatment) in the workplace. Passed over for promotions, harassment, not receiving credit for work done, insane hours without compensation - we all know the story. No surprises here.

        I knew going into IT that the hours could be insane. It's the "without compensation" part that would bother me.

          Hearing of IT peeps that get ignored except when things go wrong and never recognized for making a difference or contribution is way too common. IT is nearly a brand for "not really a part of the organization."

            This article is not about IT. it is about tech workers.

            This is a big differentiation. While all IT are tech workers, not all tech workers are IT.
