Zabbix logging PC that is off?

What is reporting it as running? Where is that metric coming from?

I started a VM yesterday to play around with NextCloud - since it's just a temp box, one that I can get away with breaking (non production system).
Lubuntu 16.4 running under Oracle VirtualBox
Right now it is reporting CPU Util. -
Is your logging targeting the hypervisor and not the actual VM.
I have a feeling you're monitoring the wrong thing.

The Zabbix agent was installed on the VM, using the vm Host name.

Right now it is reporting CPU Util.So you attempted to create CPU Utilization correct? On my Zabbix install I have to create that. Yours looks much different than mine does.

weird - what IP are those logs coming from? It really does sound like the wrong thing is being tracked.

Yeah.... here is a single core utilization for one of my VM's.
I think you're monitor is messed up. It's using the wrong item to report for the graph.

That's what I'm thinking too

The template you're using for this graph should be

You can also check the Zabbix "Agent Ping" item under Latest Data. Just filter for the host you are interested in.

That's for CPU Load, not for CPU Utilization.
