Nextcloud community doing well - business, too.

@jospoortvliet Congrats on profitability.
I would help test the 10 to 11 path, but I still have yet to find the time to test the oc9 to nc9 path. I have 5 systems I need to do this on.
-
@JaredBusch let me hereby promise that if you find a bug going from oC 9 to Nc9 or Nc9 to Nc10 and we can find and fix the issue, you get a t-shirt!

And just for you mangolassians - tomorrow, we'll publish our Nextcloud 11 RC.
Will there be a way to upgrade from the Nextcloud 11 RC to the official release? If so, I've got an install I can test on.
-
Congratulations @jospoortvliet. It is always good to see community oriented projects be profitable. I haven't yet found a way to implement NC here, but the day may come.

Absolutely, that will work, no problem. We upgraded our internal instance to the first beta, I'll move my private to RC too. Thanks!!!
Now I'm not sure if I should wish you good luck finding bugs (to earn a t-shirt) or avoiding one to avoid having to restore a database backup

Or E) restore snapshot because I'm lazy.

Meanwhile, the t-shirts can be won... https://nextcloud.com/blog/win-a-t-shirt-by-testing-nextcloud-11-rc1/

Offtopic: Are there any plans to integrate NextCloud with Outllok like Sharefile with Citrix does? I have 4 clients I proposed NextCloud to and 2 asked if NC has the feature to insert files to Outlook emails directly from contents in NC? Check out some of the screenshots via Google Images - http://bit.ly/2hhPuVO - never used it but it appears that business users do not even choose Dropbox and similar because of this feature.

The NextCloud client will sync files locally. So they'd just be attaching a local file. What's the need for a special piece of software to do it?

Because that isn't what he wants. He wants it to attach a link to the hosted file so that the files are not being passed around via email. Like what Office 365 does.

Ah, that makes more sense now.
I haven't tried that with NextCloud yet, maybe I'll give it a shot tonight.

That would need a plugin in outlook to talk to the nextcloud webdav for best functionality IMO.
Looking at the screenshots, that looks like what ShareFile did.
-
NextCloud can easily do it but not built into outlook.
Here is an example from my desktop with the ownCloud client.

Guys, on the outlook integration - we introduced integration with Outlook for Calendar and Contacts last week, and we actually have what @agarcia-wier asks for available for customers. It is not announced so don't make noise about it yet (I will probably announce this or next week, but possibly move it to next year as just before Christmas ain't a great time for announcements).
So if you need this, it is a typical enterprise setting thing - contact [email protected] and we'll get you going. Sadly, no, it isn't open source, it is developed by a partner and just like with the iOS app - maybe in the future
