@BRRABill this would be how it should be done.
I saw that method, but that requires a physical Windows machine, which isn't really a great option.
I am sure people here aren't doing that. ANd I know people run XS here, so just wondering.
I think I'm going to resurrect my old APC UPS and just hook it up to the network, and use local agents on all my VMs.
But again, just looking got a conversation.
Maybe make a new topic, this one is quite drawn out. . . (also it's a slow Wednesday)
Well, it's only been a few minutes. I'll give it a little time, and if no bites, then I will start a new topic.

I plan on trying the "Citrix ready" Eaton IPM VM http://bit.ly/2etlIs2

That looks like a nice solution.
My Eaton is not network capable, so that would not be an option for me. (Without upgrading.)
Be very curious to hear how it goes though! Keep me/us updated!

@BRRABill What Eaton do you have?

Yeah, that would work.
I went with the 5S when I was going to use Hyper-V. Figured I'd just shutdown the host.
But anyway, I have some options here, just like I said seeing what others are doing, or THINKING of doing, even.

I really like the 5P/PX line from Eaton for pure-sine-wave units.

For me it was just a cost think.
The 5S 1500 was half the price, and that doesn't even include the network card you need to also purchase.
But of course if it doesn't work for me (which it will) the savings don't mean .... jack!

No more APC for me.
I also dig the Eaton 3yr battery warranty (you can extend to 5yr with additional $$) -
@BRRABill For the network cards, ebay is your friend. I've been able to snag a few NIB at $60-70 each

True, good idea.

I know I've asked this 1000 times, but with XS (Linux in general, I guess) if an update has a suggested reboot, can you continue to install more updates?
Specifically asking for XO (paging @olivier ) as it has an "INSTALL ALL UPDATES" which lists more than one RESTARTHOST or RESTARTXAPI.
-
Yes, it means it will be only applied after a reboot. But it's not the end of the world to apply everything and reboot after

@olivier ... Another question. I had 8 updates to install, according to the little number on the tab.
I clicked INSTALL ALL PATCHES. It installed 3, then stopped. It shows 3 new updates that were installed today, but there are still 8 listed.
Should I just click it again? Or is it trying to tell me to reboot?
