Right.

Is everyone sitting down?
A few doctors were talking to me today and asked why I didn't have an iPhone - if I had an iPhone I'd probably be able to support them and their iPhones better.
I told them that if THEY wanted to buy me one, I would be happy to use it, but that I personally wouldn't buy one. They said they would bring it up at the next board meeting about getting me one.So who knows.. the next time you see me, I might be sporting the new iPhone 7+

That's pretty awesome!

We'll see - I have been telling them that for years... and I still don't have one. Heck I don't even have a company provided laptop. Though with that, really I just would need to order myself one. But for my job, I really don't need one - until a few weeks ago that is.
HR put out a ruling that no one could use their cell phones in clinic (excluding doctors). I forgot about it and was reading my work email in clinic while waiting on a process (OK Maybe I was on Facebook or Telegram, whatever) - my boss walks over and very loudly tells me that I'm not allowed to use my phone in clinic - new policy. I don't argue, and quickly put my phone away.
So now I'm considering getting myself an office laptop that I will take with me when I leave my office so I have something to look at while I'm at someone else's desk waiting on things.

The lack of actual home button (it's a touch thing but you have to press it hard to get it to react) is weird.
iOS 10 on a 6s is weird too. Pressing the home button does not fully unlock. It feels to me that they over corrected for the people complaining that the pushed the home button to wake their phone and the Touch ID kicked in unlocking it and making them miss their notifications..
Settings > General > Accessibility > Home Button > Touch to unlock or somesuch.

I'm trying to give it a fair go for a week or so just to make sure it is not me adjusting poorly.

I think I might have found the slowness culprit ... Mail.
It is taking up huge chunks of battery life, and when I close it, it goes from super sluggish to fine.
Hmmm, when will 10.0.2 be out?

Any more thoughts on the iPhone 7 today?
I can trade in my 6 for a brand new 7. But the way the deal works is I have to keep the 7 for 30 months. I mean, I could trade it in, but they give you the $650 back over 30 months. So, if I trade it in in a year, I only recoup like $275 or less.
I've also heard rumors the next iPhone might be really nice. Especially since this one was MEH. (It's the 10th anniversary, too!)
So, I can stay with my 6 and see what happens. Or get a free 7 I have to keep for 30 months.

If you want to get into a lease/trade in program, the best thing is to get away from your carrier and do the Apple plan.

I don't really want to, per se. I'm fine waiting the two years.
I just know my 6 is 2 years old already. And after a few years the phones start to suck.
But I also don't want to be tied into a 2.5 year contract if something awesome comes out next year.
Options, options...
