Bonus point awarded to those who can navigate a GUI without a mouse.

Ugh, I had to do that to the wife's laptop I upgraded to Windows 10.

It never advanced past Vista, and the touchpad was ... uh ... touchy. AKA, not working.

I had to give in and plug in a mouse.

Most of the time it just involves smashing the tab key until you see something light up, lol.

I wouldn't say it's an enjoyable experience to use a GUI without a mouse, but I can do it. win-key makes life so much easier than the old days. Anyone else remember WordPerfect and having to press ctrl+= to get the menus?

I happen to know a lot of NJ state employees are still using word perfect.

When I was a student worker at TCNJ (early 90s) I spent a lot of hours installing WordPerfect 5.1.

While kind of sad, doesn't surprise me. It's STILL a good word processor with all the features you really needed way back in version 1.1 we had in high school (someone donated old/cheap licensing to the school).

Contract review with the carrier provider we do not dare speak its name. Unfortunately I'm just the tech input our VP of Carrier Services is actually handling the negotiating part. I have a feeling my documented cases of outages (or is it outrage in this case??) may be enough to get a lower price but not enough to switch.

If I ever get a job somewhere that people use WP I'm going to burn the place to the ground for the betterment of humanity.

Are you going with the dual boot option, the hyper-v route, or a clean install?

OSSIM from Alienvault? I've run that one a few times. It's great if it does what you need! I found out recently that our networking group has purchased the paid version.

Wow, I wasted a lot of time the past 6 months.

I'll have to try that when I get home... Two screens, 24" 1960x1080 and a 32" 2550x1600... wonder how big that would show up as.

ALT+PRNTSCRN just captures the focused window

Good to know. Learning new keyboard shortcuts always makes me happy.

New? Uhm, l think that is available since Windows 3.1. Both Windows 95 and NT had this for sure
