OWA Thoughts
-
So on my new Windows 10 install I thought I would try sticking with OWA for a while, to see if it would grow on me.
It's been OK so far. I must admit I really miss Outlook itself.
The main thing I keep cursing at it for is not having plug-ins to deal with e-mail.
For example, I use Evernote. I love having a button that will just throw a whole e-mail (and its attachments) directly into Evernote. Now I can get around this a little but by just forwarding the e-mail to my Evernote account. (Though this apparently is no longer supported in free Evernote.)
So, there is one example. I will post more as I find them.
I think I found made things better was to shrink the zoom on my browser to 800% or 90%. Seems to more closely replicate the application version.

@BRRABill I agree I use lots of plugin's for Outlook on my desktop. I use them so much that I can't stand it when I have to use OWA when I travel.

My hate for outlook is slightly less than my hate for OWA
-
OWA has addins just like outlook. You can add the Evernote Addin to OWA
-
-
From OWA go to Setting > Manage Apps. You can add more apps including evernote from the Office store.
-
Oh you want to copy paste a person's email address?...We'll make that difficult for you in OWA.
In Outlook? Double click a name, get an email, copy, pasta.

@Minion-Queen I've never done it, but it appears that it's possible.

I will be testing it out!

Me too!

Hey ... that works!
Awesome.
This was a half rant/half "Can ML fix this" thread.
Great ... so what's next? Maybe we will fix all OWA issues!

Where's my upvote!? LOL

So how does it work?

What does Evernote do better than OneNote? OneNote is now free.
-
I was already using Evernote and have just stuck with it.
Same reason I don't look at new TVs, I don't want to buy one.
-
Though there are a ton of articles comparing the two. In fact, one just showed up in my Facebook feed (from LifeHacker) today.
-
I looked through the rest of the Outlook add-ins, and they are PALTRY to put it nicely.

LOL not sure I see the parallel, but I do understand the stick-ition most of us get to a tool once we start using it. Don't want to be changing tools every few months, or even years.
