Case in point: Infused vodkas, started under the new moon, finished under the full moon, awaiting their premiere at the Halloween party Saturday:

Oooh, that looks like an island style, mustard based sauce, which I love. Sign me up!

I will take a 7. I grew reapers this year. Made some hot pickles, some spicy peach jam, and tonight going to make me a curry that no one else in house will touch.

the best thing about all hot sauce - start at the top. don't muck around with the lower classes.
in this instance level 7 or nothing.
if was feeling very cautious (with my nagging wife in other words) maybe start at 6. but not below that

I'd have a go at it. I don't mind hot stuff but I want to be able to taste the other stuff too. If I only wanted to taste the sauce I'd raid @RojoLoco's fridge with a straw.

We got my father in law some Ass Blaster hot sauce for Christmas one year. My wife made hot wings with it. You couldn't taste the chicken at all. Everything just tasted like burning.

@Joy The vodka has hot peppers in it.

So it's infused vodka. Either for drinking, or for cooking with.

I asked for something around "So So" and a friend of mine handed me a bottle of #7. I didn't look at the bottle, I just covered a small hamburger in it... Yeah, that was an experience I won't forget, lol.

@Joy you can infuse any vodka with about anything you want too. Just put your vegetables into the bottle or another container and let it sit at least 2 weeks. Last year I took onions, tomato, and hot peppers and made a bloody marry vodka that was awesome. I just used the cheap off brand to start with.

Yep, that is the way you can make your own vanilla extract too.
