Sangoma's response was to turn off the cron jobs that were causing the issues.

That doesn't answer the question of why they are suddenly happening and what changed to make them happen.

I would check on the system you have and check what is sending emails instead.

what is the message that you are getting from the Barracuda?

      Alert: High out-queue length. out-queue length: 2420

This alert applies to the Barracuda Email Security Gateway at IP address 172.16.0.3(MAC address: 4C:CC:6A:24:CB:74 / serial number: 851091) with a default domain of 'wls.wels.net'.

Yeah, that is normal but on the queue. What does it show as the error that is sending on an email?

For this one: Cron asterisk@freepbx /usr/local/sbin/fwconsole util cleanplaybackcache -q

I get: /bin/sh: /usr/local/sbin/fwconsole: No such file or directory

Whatever it is runs a cron every minute or every 5 depending on the error.

What did you change? Because those cron jobs do not normally send anything.

I haven't changed anything other than applying updates through Update Manager

      UPDATE:

I checked all modules and all are up to date. I also disabled all the commercial modules that I know I don't use and that didn't change anything.

    • fwconsole creating many emails through our Barracuda mail filter

I have created a support request with Sangoma as well but they always take a bit longer than one would expect.

I've been getting a notification on high output queue from our Barracuda mail filter saying the following:

Cron asterisk@freepbx /usr/local/sbin/fwconsole userman --syncall -q. This has a message of: /bin/sh: /usr/local/sbin/fwconsole: No such file or directory

I get the same message for:

      Cron asterisk@freepbx /usr/local/sbin/fwconsole userman --syncall -q

      &

      Cron asterisk@freepbx /usr/local/sbin/fwconsole qxactreports --sync -q 2>&1 > /dev/null

I tried to disable/uninstall any commercial modules I know I am not using but got errors for Calendar, Class of Service, and SMS because some modules depend on it. That screenshot is attached. The only module I know for sure that I am using is Zulu as I am testing remote/laptop users with softphone

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

@JaredBusch you don't have any issues with agents checking in or pushing out updates with the RP?

      What would be the concern?

You can always put a reverse proxy in front, using something like Nginx, and put the cert there.

This is what I do with my MESD deployment.

Do you use Apache or NGNIX for that?

You "always" use Nginx for stand alone reverse proxies. That's what it is built for.

For those following along at home...Am I building a VM of NGNIX or installing NGNIX on the windows box?

I have a windows 2016 server running all my ManageEngine stuff. (Yes I have posted there as well).

Can I use LE to secure ADManager, Servicedesk, Desktop Central, and Self Service? It is one URL ie: helpdesk dot website dot net

I was reading this https://mangolassi.it/topic/18137/get-wildcard-ssl-certs-for-iis-on-windows-with-letsencrypt but it appears to be more about wildcard certs.

How well are customers liking the new release compared to the old trusty 4.X version, @scottalanmiller ?

Faster, which is nice. Adapting to the new editor is the big change.

@scottalanmiller I know its still early but I'm not a fan of this editor.

We have 4 editors that DO NOT like the new editor change either. I thought there was a way to use the old editor but I guess not.

    • Webroot to be acquired by Carbonite

Just got this in my email as we are a Webroot customer. Not sure how I feel about this yet. I think Webroot is great but have never been a fan of Carbonite.

I'm excited to announce that Webroot has entered into an agreement to be acquired by Carbonite, a leader in cloud-based data protection.

This is great news for customers and partners. The combined Webroot and Carbonite will offer an integrated solution for your top security needs today, and a platform for us to build upon in the future. When surveyed, small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) and managed service providers (MSPs) consistently name endpoint security and backup and recovery services among their top priorities. We see great opportunities ahead in building on the Webroot solutions you trust — endpoint and network protection, security awareness training and threat intelligence services — and extending them to backup and data recovery, and beyond.

Just as important as complementary products, Webroot and Carbonite both have cultures dedicated to customer success. We do the right thing for our customers and partners. You can continue to expect both great solutions and great customer support from us, backed by same team you know today, whether you buy from us or through a channel partner.

Until the transaction closes, we must operate as separate companies. I look forward to sharing more information about our plans after close, which we expect to happen in the first calendar quarter of 2019.

Lastly, a reminder that cybercriminals often use transactions like this as cover for phishing attacks. Webroot will not be changing our banking details or payment processes in connection with this acquisition, and if you receive any communication suggesting otherwise it is likely a phishing attempt. Please call our Accounts Receivable department (number listed on every invoice and statement) to verify the communication is from us. We always recommend implementing security awareness training to ensure you and your employees are aware of the risks of phishing and other threats.

Thank you for your ongoing support, and I look forward to a great future together!

Depends on the state. Wisconsin is a "hire at will" state. Technically no notice is needed but it is ideal to give 2 weeks.
