The VM wants to do driver updates, but without a internet connection it can't find whatever drivers it's looking for.

At this point, can I export the VM with the attached VHD to something else so I can try to run the VM in another virtual manager?

The VM needs to have internet access so I can run the database conversion to Quickbooks, which can only be done on the same PC running an instance of the Microsoft Accounting program.

@thanksaj Yep..you could do that...and while you're at it..you could use only one PC monitor and do the same thing. But that would suck now wouldn't it?

    • RE: Commercial Desktops vs. Whiteboxes

I did this for 3 years. Although I had no hardware issues at all, each time there was a new "line" to create as the components are no longer available or new items come out replacing old stock numbers.

As a small shop i was always worried about replacement parts, but when i moved to Intel boards and Intel processors that situation never came up. I also didn't have much if any warranty info for the client.

For the sake of sanity and since I am a one man band, I decided to provide HP or Dell Pro class PC's which saves a ton on time when pricing for parts. Oh and it seemed each time, I couldn't find the same SFF case.

@thanksaj think copy and paste. The other reason I wish it worked with other apps, is when someone keeps texting me and i can't do anything else.

And the biggest reason I ask these integration questions, I cannot connect my VM to the internet as the VM's network adapter shows not connected in settings. Rest of the settings in image below:

Ok, I must not be reading or comprehending what I am reading. What does this mean:

Integration Services delivered through Windows Update

Starting shortly after the release of the Windows Server Technical Preview, updates to integration services for Windows guests will begin being distributed through Windows Update. For service providers and private cloud hosters, this will put control of updates into the hands of the tenants who own the virtual machines. Tenants can now update their Windows virtual machines with all updates, including the integration services, using a single method. For information about integration services for Linux guests, see Linux and FreeBSD Virtual Machines on Hyper-V .

Does this mean W10 will deliver the integration services via an update?

The O365 documentation is especially bad.

I think the worst thing about it is sometimes you feel like you are on a 3rd party website. Azure, Office 365, AD FS, and other O365 documentation uses completely different themes.

Technet uses the same basic theme. When you look at a Technet Article, you know its Official MS documentation

That is so funny and true.

@scottalanmiller That is so true. And on the bright side the tech support so far is stellar. By the way, having real tech support on a MS subscribed product is "priceless".

Can we agree that finding most MS documentation is horrible?

@IRJ OMG...MS is impossible sometimes. I can't tell you how many out of date articles i found while working on Office 365 programs, such as OneNote for Business/SkyDrive and Outlook 2013.

So I just used MS Remote Desktop Connection tool and was able to remote in. I wonder if I need to delete the TakeControl program on the PC and reinstall it.

I was surprised with the amount of changes. Finally split screen will work on more programs.

It's nice to see that advances are being made to the OS that previously was only available if you rooted the phone.

    • TakeControl issue

I have had some issues connecting to a workstation.

      • Workstation was just rebooted and shows latest reboot was 7 hour ago
      • trying to connect via TakeControl I get "The screen cannot be captured at the moment. This is probably due to the fast user switching or disconnected/minimized Remote Desktop session.

I am pretty sure neither of those apply.

I did just update this W10 preview and when I went to check it out physically, now the screen is flickering on and off. The flickering goes off after I close TakeControl.
