@Dashrender No problem. Ya it would be nice if you could just set it on the guest network.

@Dashrender Should be under Settings > User Groups. Then under Wireless Networks pick the user group for the guest network.

Here's how we have it set up. I've removed other info, but just select the Guest Policy and it limits the devices on the Guest SSID to only interwebs traffic. They do have more advanced options under the Guest Control section.

On that subject... The wife requires I note my weight on the calendar daily so she knows if I am doing good or bad.

      Edit: that is in kilograms..

Ha my wife doesn't make me do that. She just tells me I'm fat. What happens though if you suddenly have more muscle than fat, but your weight goes up?

It's rough on the roads out here. We saw a body in the highway on Saturday night. Apparently he had run across the PanAmerican highway and didn't make it to the other side. He was being prepped for the morgue when we saw him.

Wow, are things like that commonplace there?

@IRJ For some reason it didn't add the quoted text. I was commenting on Scott's post:

"An incorrect, fancy title. Fancy is one thing, but a title that means something different is something else.

Secretaries being called Office Managers or Executive Assistants is fancy. Secretaries being called Executives is incorrect.

Strangely, secretary is a far more prestigious title a lot of places than assistant."

Are Microsoft Certs worth anything? I've never taken any tests, but aren't they all just memorization/multiple choice? At least with something like an RHCSA, they give you a system and tell you to do different tasks.

Edit. Let me rephrase, are Microsoft Certs a good measure of a persons ability? It's worth something to have knowledge, but I meant in a real life way to measure the knowledge.

Is this the norm now where first level Systems Administrators are required to manage networks and are "desired" to be an MCM?

And have a bachelors degree in computer science (how would that help you with any of this?)

    • RE: Ubiquiti AP Issues

@g.jacobse Did you do a wall or ceiling mount? I have one at home, and put two in at work but did all wall mounts. Coverage seems great that way.
One other thing to try might be to do a hard reset and rejoin it to the controller.

    • RE: Trying out Xen

@scottalanmiller I guess I just always assume if they a company has developed it and can't move it to another platform, it's because of some legal matter. Kind of like Apple with their crazy patents. Such as their patent on "Touch screen device, method, and graphical user interface for providing maps, directions, and location-based information"

@scottalanmiller Oh I was thinking more along the lines of some protocol that was used, something like that. But then again, I have no clue what I'm talking about.

@scottalanmiller I just downloaded it and am putting it on a usb. What do you recommend for a client? The only Windows machine we have is my wife's old laptop. Will virt-manager work or should I use something like OpenXenManager?

@scottalanmiller oooh ok. I must have misread something somewhere. I thought I needed an image that was pre set up for paravirtualization for compatibility. I apologize, I'm a moron. Thanks a lot!

    • RE: Trying out Xen

@scottalanmiller I guess I'm still confused on the difference between a paravirtualized guest and a regular install from an ISO.

I guess I just assumed there was some kind of value for KVM since Red Hat is pushing it so much.

    • RE: Trying out Xen

@scottalanmiller Also, do you still feel the same way about KVM as I've read from you previously? Most of what I saw was a few years old, so I wasn't sure if it has matured enough to be something you would recommend.
