Ha ha. No Geniuses is the name for the L0 techs. This was actually engineering in Cupertino.
Ha I was just kidding. How did you get through to engineering? That's kind of amazing in itself.

The plus side is Apple stands behind their hardware and their OS so as long as you are still under warrantee, they will cover both.
That's not my experience with them supporting clients. I've been escalated to Apple engineering for issues and had them be like "yeah, nothing we can do, this doesn't really work." And they just gave up.
They should know, they're Geniuses.
That sucks. If it makes you feel any better my Fedora 22 boots in about three seconds (after the bios screen).

Does Mac have something like psacct? I thought I read somewhere that it had accton and you could run lastcomm.
I tried lastcomm, but no luck. Does not appear to be available.
Oh, sorry. I have almost zero Mac experience. I never wanted to shell out the money for one. I'll look around though.

Save yourself a ton of money and build a SAM-SD - it could all be Software RAID.
@scottalanmiller did you get get the SAM-SD to run from a SD card?
I went looking for the SAM-SD wiki that John had setup to suggest on this thread. Sadly it doesn't seem to exist anymore.
It was never filled with enough info to be useful. We need to get an official one up and running sometime soon. Just need a web designer, argh.
I do a lot with Drupal. I might be able to build something.
I think if you are actually "partnering" with someone, you should spell their name correctly:
"Empire Software is Now Partnering With Mozzilla to enhance your web experience"

oh and Scott at my home lab I setup Xen to a 16GB flash without any issues at all, it was very, very easy to do.
I know that @Mike-Ralston was working on that a bit and was having issues with the install. Maybe he didn't try between 6.2 and 6.5.
Would it be just as advantageous to use a small ssd? Like a 24 gig mSATA or something?
That would require an mSATA port in the server and cost more than a SD card or USB stick - so why bother with the expense?
The drives are only around ~$20-$30. Same for the enclosure. I just figured you'd gain some performance from it.
Once the hypervisor loads it rarely goes back to disk - it runs from RAM.
Oh, I misunderstood. Ok, makes more sense.

Interesting, though I thought I read someone else's report about the Sandybridge and previous Intel Process flaw not being as easy to exploit as the panelist presented.
I'm guessing it's not. All it needs now is a catchy name and a vector icon.
It looks beautiful, but I have a hard time leaving gnome every time I try. It's just so easy to use. Plus you can make it look half decent with some extensions.

How do you like KDE 5 on Fedora?
I like it. I always customized the crap out of KDE before, but I just left it on the breeze theme. Fedora made their own, and it's a little more transparent than breeze, but it still looks nice.
@scottalanmiller What do you recommend for backups? I'm only going to have a couple VMs running. Should I just rsync everything on each?

It's far better not on mobile
The mobile experience still leaves a lot to be desired, but the developers are definitely making an effort on that as it changes regularly.
Even so, I think it's still better than SpiceWorks mobile and their android app which is just the website in an app. Posting on mobile on SW is weird. I can't see the html editor and if I edit a post, it doesn't show up as edited.

@johnhooks Nice! I just got Fedora 22 going on my laptop (with the correct video drivers this time)... Maybe I should give it a go!
I downloaded the KDE spin and it already had it installed, so I will be of no help installing it afterward
The safe's database is Microsoft Access? Who is designing these things?
