frosty morning here today, but the sun is out.
I plan on having a bludge day today ...

RE: RDS User Logging
I ended up using a tool from RDPSoft. You can take out monthly subscriptions to use their software. Very impressive stuff.

When is everyone heading down here?
When will you have open rooms?
From now until ~December. It's the slow season here (local winter), so lots of open space.
looks like north eastern & north western australia.

RDS User Logging
I need to get a list of RDS user log in times & dates, logoff times and dates and connection times.
I need to be able to put that info into Excel.
I'm sure you can get it with Powershell but ATM I can't find anything to work with.
I've looked at the RDPSoft apps, but I think I'll have to pay to get the reports I want.
Thanks for any help.

Not impressed. Have to replace my CPU (Ryzen 5 1600) if I want to upgrade.
Yeah yeah, TPM blah blah blah. Still not happy about it. I've only had the CPU for 3 years.Granted I don't have to move until 2025 (WIN10 EOL) if I want to retain my hardware that long.
Just irritated that I can't upgrade straight away. These requirements may not seem too strict, but having a look at the list of supported processors, youâll notice that the 1st Gen AMD Ryzen CPUs arenât supported, and the 2nd Gen Zen+ processors are a bare minimum on AMDâs end and the 8th Gen Kaby Lake-R is the least supported on Intelâs end. Keep in mind that although the OS will run on systems using older processors, itâs ânot recommendedâ. Microsoftâs list of supported processors doesnât make sense as thereâs little to no difference between the 1st and 2nd Gen Ryzen processors. Similarly, the Kaby Lake-R (8th Gen Intel Core lineup) is essentially a rebranding of the 7th Gen offerings.

More Dipping Sauces
It's called planned obsolescence. It's not done for any technical reason whatsoever, so looking for what makes "sense" doesn't make sense.
This @Pete-S you're spot on. It's just about making more money. If the software is kept up to date security wise, why would anything ever need to be replaced/updated, but we all know that.
When's the release date for 11?

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
I've done this many times over the years, I always end up back on Windows as that's what I support.
My advice would be to boot into the OS you support and have VMs of the OS's you want to learn.
I've done it the other way around, and found it too inefficient to work with.
For example, I needed to print something, so I had to go and google how to install a print driver, then chase up some hacks to get it to work. When if I was in the OS I knew, I could have printed immediately.
If you don't move around, it would be much easier, as you setup once and you're good to go. I move around, so it was a continuous hassle.

RE: Simple cheap RMM
@jasgot I signed up 6 servers this morning with Pulseway for $US107/yr or thereabouts.

@siringo What about these ones:
https://www.action1.com/free_edition.html
https://www.atera.com/pricing/ (COmpare to Pulseway Pricing)
Thanks for the info.
Looked at Bluetrait, don't seem to have a mobile app.
Looking at Action1 now
Atera is way more expensive that Pulseway
I can add devices at Pulseway for ~ $17/yr -
RE: Simple cheap RMM
site24x7 is $9/mth for 10 servers over 12 months, that's even cheaper.

RE: Simple cheap RMM
@black3dynamite Already using MC, it's pretty good, just missing a few things I'm after.
Just logged back into my Pulseway account. Looked at their pricing on the home page, but my pricing is $17/device/year. Don't know why, not arguing, hard pressed to get better than that.
Problem solved, close the ticket.
