@siringo... Ping!
Just checking in to make sure you're ok.Things seem to be a bit crap over your way.
Hey, how are you going. Things are turning upside down over here.
My wife and I live 4 hours out of Melbourne so we're free and easy, just can't leave the state nor visit the capital.
I'll tell you what the world is going to be like this until a vaccine is found, so this could be going on for a few more years.
The Premier said yesterday that one problem they have is getting enough people to do the tracing work that is required. It spreads so fast that they run out of manpower.
It must be a nightmare in places with a greater population.Don't say that man - Next year is my 20 year wedding anniversary - and we planned a two week vacation to Aussieland!
It's a big place. Plenty of places to pick.
Nope. https://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation-world/world/article244059902.html
and? Nothing unusual...
I reckon the USA is scarier, you guys have bears. You can't outrun, out climb, out muscle those things.
Huntsman aren't really a problem, the biggest thing they do is frighten you, it's other mongrels that can make you pretty crook.
I used to be scared of snakes, not as much now after learning how they & why they react and how to treat snake bite. You don't want to get between a mother snake & it's babies either, they go mad at you.
Are Deers feral in the USA? They are down here, they're a real pest.
first day in an office in about 14 weeks. work wise nothing has changed.

bought a car the other weekend ...
currently being de-bugged at the mechanics, no real issues just a few small things to replace.
Nice. AU series 3?
Thanks mate, 2001, so series 2 I'm pretty sure. It's the update model which had the interior out of the series 3. In pretty good knick for a little off 20 years.
solved a remote access problem with Zero Tier. Bloody great service.

You'd be done for hitting 80 down here. Loss of license on the spot, car impounded.

Unraveling a SendAs / SendOnBehalf mess.
Oh yes, can't they be fun.
installing a Proliant service pack on an administrative server.

Got to band practice tonight and discovered my amp has gone tits up. Ugh. I managed to kill an 80s era Peavey tube amp, which are notoriously reliable. Built like a tank but I managed to run it into the ground.
too much time spent on 11!

Just got a load of 5M of redgum, we'll be splitting and stacking tomorrow.
I soent a good portion of yesterday stacking my woodshed. It felt a bit like tetris, just things didn't disappear when I completed a row.
Yep did that yesterday. We recently purchased a hydraulic splitter. SO much easier and SO much quicker. Also, you can split and use wood you wouldn't be able to use if all you had was an axe etc.
@black3dynamite thanks mate. Think I'll go Ubuntu.
tuesday morning.
work is like a ghost town, no emails, no messages. working from home, it's like they've all just upped and left. it's been like this for months, no contact, just the occasional email.
my wife got rung up & offered some work, so i'm nuking a fedora laptop & banging windows 10 on it.
but hang on, she'll only work in web based stuff, think i'll ubuntu it.
problem solved.

oh crikey, too much dark chocolate with almonds last night
didn't think that was a thing.did you forget to mention all the wine you had with it ?
hahaha, oh yeah, there's that, but it was beer. The Tim Tams wouldn't have helped either.
monday morning, unseasonally warm today.
organising work and planning tasks.
ok, wednesday morning 9:36 am. more work onsite exchanging old laptops for new and migrating data. Did I mention I hate this type of work. At least I still have a job to do it in, so I think I'll shut up and get into it.
