I don't think you can, but there are many smarter people around that may have worked out how.

It's surprisingly easy. Download the Windows 10 Media Creation tool and it walks you through the process.

Yep. If I have the option, I just sit at my desk at the office without going onsite. There is an extended period of waiting for it to reconnect to the RMM, but that time gets used to work on other tickets.

We've had reboots take nearly four hours! MS has confirmed this to be normal and unpredictable.

Yeah. They should drop the 1d4+1 feature for reboot length.

How did you learn Power-shell scripting?
any books worth looking at? Looking at expanding some more, and I know Automation makes jobs way easier.

This (https://channel9.msdn.com/Series/GetStartedPowerShell3/01) combined with doing tasks in PowerShell. In my opinion, as others have states, it's easier to learn via doing tasks. Added bonus is you complete a task with PowerShell or script it, then see if / how you can improve your script.

Just got my first bad review in my year and a half of employment.
      So there's that.

Of course this employer is going to give you a bad review, anything they can do to keep you in check.

Did you get your updated resume out there yet?

apparently I broke stuff and no one told me; so I couldn't fix it.
I've been their only point of contact since they open and refused to talk to somebody else; and some small shit about "not being knowledgeable"
I've told them I'm not their contact and they need to use the help desk because I'm not always available .

Customer review, not bad performance job wise; but for one customer cause I'm fucking drowning is assignments.

The more I wade into our Exchange hybrid environment; the more I'm inclined to never recommend anyone use it. Either be 100% on-premises or 100% Exchange online.

What makes you say that though? Like what limitations are you seeing. I mean it is another topic but even when I tend to agree there are some good Hybrid Environment implementations.

If I get some time, I'll make a topic about it. The two pain points I see often deal with delegating rights between mailboxes that are on-premises and in Exchange online, and (since last night) having to renew certificates for on-prem mailbox and client access servers, following documentation about what to do in that situation for a hybrid envirnoment, and wading through Event log errors that likely wouldn't exist if we weren't in a hybrid environment. 🙂

Almost 24 hours since installing Pop! OS on my TV computer. It's been awhile since had a Debian/Ubuntu desktop based system on my home computers. My preferred OS, Fedora Workstation is on my desktop and laptop.

I ended up putting Pop_OS back on my System76 laptop (with 20.04). I'm always torn because I like both projects: Pop_OS and Fedora.

Have you noticed any performance difference between from those distros?

Only thing I've noticed is that Pop_OS seems to boot a shade faster than Fedora. I have a feeling by the end of the weekend and hopping around, I'll land on Fedora 32 for at least the next month or so 🙂

I know that I am behind the times, but finally added PoE to my house. Now going around collecting all of the injectors and wall warts that we don't need any longer.

And I'm redoing my home network this weekend. Getting my PoE switch added back to the mix and VLANing off the work network stuff.

Nice. I'll be hopefully doing something similar next week. I have a sliding shelf coming for my rack to put my Dell T420 on (significantly cheaper than the rack conversion kit), and will also do some network cable management 🙂

Did you use the sample-config-advanced.json or sample-config.json file for your config.json?

The sample-config.json provides a bare minimal settings while the sample-config-advanced.json provides you the complete set of options to choose from.

If you were curious, the default config file that was created is based on sample-config.json my life was changed when I learned _ was a comment 😛
