@wirestyle22 Techsuite isn't a full RMM.
It's essentially a program that will automate certain tasks like virus cleanup, PC diagnostics, etc.
It's something that is run ad-hoc vs. a managed services client.

But... What am I doing now? I'm headed to a morning meeting... YUK...
You have greater visibility not greater reaction time. Reaction time is from the stimulus to to the response. Your reaction time will be diminished because of the divided attention as well as something in the hand if steering input is needed.
In 15 years of being the primary investigator on more fatal car crashes than I care to remember, I have just seen way too many dead bodies because of things like this. Every member here is valued and I don't wanna see any of them get hurt.

@dustinb3403 something like that.
But for a while now I think I have to pay attention to the road.
let's see... 80 MPH (117 Feet per second) and given the road conditions a 389.25 ft stopping distance, in Fog, while taking a photo with a cell phone... Ummmmm, yeah. You are probably right.

it's either an interesting mount or Siri has hands.

I've used TechSuite for about a year now and it started off strong, but now they have seemed to tank development on it.
Is there an alternative to TechSuite that anyone uses?
And now we pause for a brief commercial interruption.

I'd recommend a wiki. You can make a template easily in a text file and just copy paste into the wiki to start a new page if the wiki doesn't have templates built in.
What do you keep in the wiki (or wherever) for clients and in what order? That's what she is looking for. Something standard that we should have for all clients.

Get-SmbServerConfiguration
This one will tell you what SMB versions you have enabled for serving up shares. Only needed on the server side.
Physical or virtual or both?
We are looking for a baseline template in order to make sure everything for each client is listed in the same order. Right now you have to scroll through to find things. We have been just using Google Docs.
It is still slow when running the app on the physical server from the hyper-v (apps) server.
I have put the application on a directory on the physical server and shared that out for testing. More to come...

So the app is fast when using local storage and slow when using network storage? Seems like a not unexpected behaviour.
Except that it is. Of course running it locally with be always faster, but I'm talking about very significant slowdowns. I said above that I have done several of these servers for clients that use the software and have not had this issue.
Right, but difference now is - Windows server version and Hyper-V version? what about hardware differences?
Server 2016 is new. They all have been 2012 R2 and earlier. However the vendor says they have tested 2016 and had no problems. I don't know how much testing they have done with hyper-v (although they so support it).
Hardware is essentially the same setup.

@CCWTech what versions of SMB are enabled on the server and the clients?
I haven't tried SMB 1 yet. Is that something that needs to be done on physical, hyper-v, and clients?
I'm curious as to what's currently enabled?
Just defaults.
Does SMB1 need to be enabled on ALL servers (Physical, Hyper-V Applications) and then all clients?
If so, can that be done when they are in production?
