You are going to use private IP addresses, so all of you subs will be double nat'ed ?

Never heard of Exablox. Learned something. I've never had anything even remotely that large either though.

Exablox looks pretty cool. I would like to play with one, don't have a large enough environment to justify it.

That's what I'm considering. What are the potential problems with this?

It will work for most things, but what if a sub wants incoming traffic?

    • Used Network Equipment

I am building up my home lab (already purchased servers), but looking for used network switches. Is there any place that you all use besides ebay for purchasing used/refurbed network equipment?

My parents tried to cancel their home phone service and their bill would have gone up like that as well, so now its set to 2 rings and goes to voicemail. Nobody they want to talk to calls them on it.

Unplug it so it can never ring then?

I told them to do that and they won't do it, but they were fine cancelling it all together... it wasn't worth the argument, so I let them do what they wanted to do.

    • RE: Do you implement the Mobile Device Management

I do, but only for iPads we issue, I only do it for software licensing reasons and to keep from having to setup a bunch of individual apple ids.

The one I use is Miradore www.miradore.com. Not open source, but hosted for $2/device a month.

whatcha looking for? i might know a guy

As far as what I'm looking for, Fully managed 10/100/1000 switch, higher end brand like HP. Not Cisco since it is a pain to get updated IOS software for the switch.

If I can find one with some lite layer 3 that would be a plus, along with POE. But, neither are must haves.

That's much like the guidebooks here.... "In litigious countries like the US, you'd never be allowed to go explore a live lava flow, but here in Nicaragua, you can walk right up to the volcano edge."

They seem to favor natural selection and Darwin Awards, lol.

Yup. We drove right between eight volcanoes this week, it was awesome!

I am a Christian. I can definitely imagine they bug folks who are athiests or non-Christians as well. But for me, they are reminders of what my purpose is on this earth. 🙂 (Aside from exorcising computers).

That's great it's reminding you of your purpose, but should that be done by threatening (real or perceived) the people you are trying to reach.

Yea. There isn't one box that plays everything. I'm more invested in the apple eco-system at the moment.
