I think the idea is that every single life is precious. If your message reaches one single person, what is the value of that? If life is priceless, that's a lot of value.

If it reaches one, minus how many it turns away. Just like we said in the other thread about Portal, ads can have negative consequences. You have to weigh the good and the bad, not ignore the bad and only look at the positive portions.

Please don't take what I say as my personal endorsement of what they are doing. I am a born-again Christian, and abhor street-preachers. I get what they're doing, but I disagree with their premise. Like an obnoxious sign, how many are being turned away? I believe effective communication comes through relationships, not people waving and yelling. I would love nothing more than to see everyone I care about experience what I have, but I can't forcefully convince anyone of anything. That's just not how it works. Also, everyone has their own choices to make and lives to live. I think I have more to offer by respecting that than I do waving it around and shoving it down others' throats.

Well said. That is my whole point, shoving it down someone's throat is the wrong way.

Bad decision on Apple's part to have it on by default.

    • RE: How do I get the forum heading back?

Yep! Double check everything. I'm planning my ski trip for this winter, and pulled the driving directions from google. If I would follow what google gave me, I would be going over a dirt road mountain pass with no winter maintenance (not closed, just not maintained).

Didn't read the article, but when the first mentioned this feature in one of the iOS 7 beta's i thought it was a bad idea to have it on by default.

    • RE: UniFi Cloud Key

@Dashrender I tried to add them via ssh and the set-inform address using an IP address and it would show up in the controller, but when I would go to adopt them it would start and say disconnected and never recognize it again.

Bullshit. Bad parenting. It is impossible to unknowingly blow over you cell plan package with any of the top 4 carriers. The parent willingly ignored notices.

      From the article.

@BRRABill ideally you split the power supplies across 2 UPS so a ups failure doesn't take your stuff out.

Unfortunately where I live, AT&T is the only reliable service once you are outside of the city. But the family plan I am on with 4 phones is only $135/month.

      The $500 coupon cost $475

Your best bet is to get an EdgeSSD from XByte, the firmware on those will work with the PERC Controller.
