    • RE: Vultr

Vultr doesnt offer anything like wpengine.com. Vultr offers virtual machines, WPEngine is more of a wordpress managed service.

A good alternative to wpengine is Envato Wordpress Hosting. Under $20/month and you get access to the top selling templates for free. They also provide excellent support.

    • RE: RDP to Windows 10

Which I thought uses FreeRDP, which in turn I thought was stalled in terms of modern RDP compatibility. I really wish there was an RDP client that supports RDP 10, or even 8.2

Yeah I heard someone else say this but I have never found a linux client to connect to a RDP session with NLM enabled. What is your client software?

Someone mentioned above that Remmina can do it.

    • RE: RDP to Windows 10

You need to uncheck "Allow connections only from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication" if you are using an older version of RDP (typically from a linux client).

Not clear from the thread above whether that is what you are doing though.

    • RE: So Amazon just accidentally gave me $700 off a DJI Mavic Pro drone

@StrongBad incidentally it has now shipped.

It will be really interesting to see how this plays out. I can't imagine how much Amazon lost on that glitch.

It would be one thing to cancel orders, but with the items shipping out to customers it would get a lot messier to ask customers to pay the difference or to return items.

    • RE: RDP to Windows 10

@StrongBad from a legacy client (most linux clients) where NLA is enabled and the client doesnt support it, you do typically get an authentication error.

If you allow less secure connections from the remote settings tab it disables NLA, but it also makes the connection less secure.

I dont remember it says "bad username/password" but when I tried this recently I believe it was more of a "connection refused or connection reset error".

Honestly I am fine with the 20% discount. Hope they just correct it and get it out to me. Still over $200 savings.

Most common thing I saw with my short lived RDSH deployment was CAPS LOCK ON.

So you are getting the error "Your credentials did not work"??

I thought at first maybe I had accumulated some Amazon credits from a year of hard spending. Fingers crossed...

    • So Amazon just accidentally gave me $700 off a DJI Mavic Pro drone

Decided to take the 20% off the $1100 bundle Amazon was offering. Turned into a $700 discount.

Searching twitter others are reporting it. Will be interesting to see if they honor it. My card has been charged...

@bigbear If you're just learning to fly, or using one with the kids, I highly recommend getting a cheap (really cheap) one first. I'd recommend 2-4 basic Syma ones (you will crash/break them, I'd much rather break a $25 toy than a $750-$1200 pro grade equipment.): https://www.walmart.com/ip/Original-SYMA-X5C-4CH-6-Axis-Gyro-Remote-Control-RC-Quadcopter-Toys-Drone-Without-Camera-Transmitter/251639409?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=4801&adid=22222222227087450751&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=203268002306&wl4=pla-330359417904&wl5=9015520&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=114227155&wl11=online&wl12=251639409&wl13=&veh=sem

We have had cheaper ones, Parrots and even lower end. My son is pretty handy with them. When I watch videos of your average moron youtuber unbox and fly a DJI 4 with little to know effort I get the impression that it would be easier than the cheaper ones we have used.

My older two kids are 14 and 16.

That being said I definitely dont want to break one. I just get the impression they are more intelligent with collision detection, hovering, follow me? Maybe I am wrong though.

    • Picking a Drone

Drones; something I havent really had time for until now. I am going to get something today and take the kids out to mess around with it at the park. I thought for sure it would be the DJI Mavic Pro but after doing some youtubing today I find that the Phantom 4 Pro has a bigger image sensor and appears to do better in low light.

I also saw there are GoPro "Karma" drones, who knew. I really haven't paid attention to this since people stopped building their own.

Searching ML I dont see any many drone posts, just thought I would see if anyone here had feedback or advise to offer.

There is also a drone store in the mall that carries everything BUT the DJI and GoPro stuff.
