      Wathing GLOW with @Dominica

I'm liking GLOW so far. Not as good as OitNB but still very good.

Only two episodes in, but it's decent. I like Alison Brie a lot, I am a huge fan of community so glad to see her with this.

That's where my wife and I are as well. I honestly didn't even realize it was Alison Brie until I looked up the actress on IMDB. She just looks so much different then she did in Community.

It was a couple years before I realized she was Pete's wife on Mad Men. Pretty crazy, you see her naked in the first 10 minutes and there is no way you would match that up to Community or Mad Men.

Based on your previous posts about firewalls I would first link you to

      https://us.smoothwall.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/SWG-Datasheet-US-2017-web.pdf

I see this deployed across a lot of customer networks and it doesnt get a lot of mention online anymore. Paired with an EdgeRouter Lite or using their fully integrated UTM you would probably get what you are looking for.

@bj would help to know more about your setup...

      1.) How many closets?
2.) How many ports per each of those closets
3.) What are your requirements for fabric bandwidth?
4.) How many clients access the pool of how many servers for HA?

I like Juniper and Extreme Networks for mid range applications. You can get refurbished Brocade Fast Iron in the same price range. But based on your feedback I can share some specific models.

I am able to see the unit installers in Chrome, but cant get to it before it logs me out. On Edge it just shows the dashboard regardless of what you click on.

@QuixoticJeremy When logged in on Edge all the tabs redirect to the main view page. When in Chrome you can access the other tabs to create groups and presumable to install the client, but it logs you out about 2 seconds after clicking on those tabs.

Is this best used via Firefox?

@Dashrender @dbeato and @black3dynamite Thanks for all the input! 2 bugs were found and corrected.

      1. @black3dynamite I'm going to go ahead and remove the massive amounts of companies that were created due to this issue so that you can start fresh.

      2. the login issue where it was jumping away from the password entry input was a routing issue that has been fixed.

We're going to be rolling out a release here in a little bit to resolve these issues. I'll make a post as soon as the deployment has finished. Thanks again everybody.

Looking forward to trying this out. Is it going to be freemium or will endpoints need to be converted whenever you are out of beta? Just curious. Also, how long has this product been under development?

I had to use Edge browser to set the password... within the past 15 minutes. It just disappears in chrome...

@JaredBusch since I havent went out to buy a new workstation yet I find myself rather addicted to RDSH (on which I have installed Chrome). Seems like Firefox on Windows = nothing really works as well as Chrome).

I have been looking at doing a Linux Terminal Server but updates are scarce and I am not sure NX (nomachine) could give the low latency performance that RDSH2016 is giving me.

I know Scott has argued for not putting the Hyper-V hosts into the domain at all, it's one less point of failure for the Hyper-V hosts.

But, if you do that, making connections to other domain connected file servers are challenging at least, and impossible at best - when being managed remotely due to delegation of authentication being passed from the management PC through the Hyper-V host to the domain connected resources.

We haven't actually tested this setup yet, so we don't know that it's impossible, but we do know it will be a challenge at the least.

I have been out of the hypervisor world for a minute but I never want that layer joined to a domain. However I have no experience managing larger deployments. Just seems like added stress.

@bigbear said in Setup inbound call routing with FreePBX 13:

@JaredBusch over on FreePBX forums you references a cfg file to edit, I am about to load up FPBX 14 and was curious where that file is. TFTBOOT directory somewhere?

The only way to get the Yealink T5 android apps installed is apparently to add the pkg path to a provisioning file. This weekend I am determined to figure out how to hard provision with FreePBX.

Are you using the FreePBX Endpoint Manager to config your phones? If so, the basefile edit is an option there. If not, then you have to make it by hand and put it in the /tftpboot directory yourself.

For the record I almost always do the config files by hand because once you learn it, it only takes minutes to replicate for bunches of extensions.

If there was anything at all that I wish had better documentation or example files for it would be this. And I would agree that hard setting everything would seem to be easier once you have it figure out.

I tried to build a file using the Yealink tool but it didnt work out. Again this weekend would be my first true effort.

Is it such that you create a file for each mac address, and there are files that would mass-apply to a model. For example could I put the line mentioned in FreePBX forums to fix "ghost return calls" in that file alone and see that setting applied to all yealink phones?

I imagine if I use EPM it will create said files and from there I could draw my conclusions and get the needed example files.
