RE: MangoCon 2017
I got a new job and in the process of moving to the new one which involves visa changes and passport with the government authorities for some time, plus the first project I will be on, the deadline is on July 30! So I have to cancel this year's trip!
Really wanted to make it this year. Hope to make it next year. So its a mix of both good and bad news for me! Canceling all my bookings currently.

@Joy Hope it will be good climate on October when I visit Phil
What are you doing while there? Just vacation?
Yes vacation. My wife is from the PH. So yearly vacation is split half in India and half in PH to visit family and may be few days for us to visit some places!

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
Cooking Chicken Korma and trying out a new drink. Had some leftover Vodka orange from our party (Not really a vodka fan!). Vodka orange+pomegranate juice+little bit of fresh orange juice+orange zest. Tastes good, helps me to finish that!

RE: IT Infrastructure Career
@PSX_Defector Just because you had some bad experience with one or two guys, please do not consider everyone that way. Those kinds of people are in every country. I've seen kids who excel in IT just out of pure interest in learning and no experience. If @Lakshmana wants to know some details on whatever he wants to pursue, we just need to share the info.
Honestly I could see the same unprofessionalism in your comments, we are all IT Pros and are here to share our knowledge, learn from
each one of them. -

RE: Got new Job with some troubles
@Lakshmana Did you rejected the offer already? If not, I would suggest you try to talk to the HR in the new company about the situation, and may be even ask for advise on how to tackle this situation. If they really need you and interested in getting you on board, I am sure they will help you, or at least give you some tips to tackle this. I know in India there are not much we could do, but its worth a try. Don't just give up. If this new company is good and you think this will benefit you not just income wise but your career as well, try harder

RE: Using Lynis to Scan Linux for Vulnerabilities
Yes, it is! I am planning to have the enterprise version for all our hosting servers, just as an added security measure. It even scans your server and show if you are patched against the shellshock and other vulnerabilities.
