Tamale spread from a Joplin classic, Fred & Red's. It is my first time back since the re-opening. It is a greasy spoon diner that has been around close to 100 years. Serving spaghetti red, burgers and tamales.
When did it close?
Opened in 1923, closed in 2012. They reopened last month under new management, food is exactly the same.

Our company holiday lunch is today at noon... at a chain place whose menu looks utterly boring and basic. We used to go to a local brewpub that has amazing, top notch food and beer, but this year we will be having the same pre-packaged crap that every chain restaurant has. If I find out we don't have to work this afternoon, I'm skipping the whole thing. Let the long weekend begin!

If I remember correctly, they're one of those bands that has been around a long time and just keeps going with members cycling in and out every so often. Which one really did come first? Hmm...
