Hyper-V Manager like SCVMM or 5NINE but ** FREE **
-
Does anybody know any free Hyper-V managers except SCVMM and 5nine stuff? Open source?
-
Nope, I have mentioned to @olivier that XO should work to incorporate Hyper-V into XO, it would really be a slam dunk and leverage the work that they have already done.

XO = Xen Orchestra It is a third party interface for XenServer but is extremely powerful and open source. Having it handle Hyper-V in addition to XenServer would be an amazing addition to the platform and it would be the only sensible Hyper-V console on the market if they did that.

That would be very near if XO integrated lots of different products under a single interface. Adding in KVM or even VMware would be very handy.

The more posts i see about it the more i'm dying to try it.
Job for Monday install Xen on my spare server can you run XO on a VM on the same host? is that recommended or should i run it on another server (will a VM on a ESXi host be fine?) can you run XO on a VM on the same host? is that recommended or should i run it on another server (will a VM on a ESXi host be fine?)

@hobbit666 You can install anywhere. On the same server is fine, on a different server is fine. It connects over the XAPI interface, so very flexible.
